I would not recommend this food. I cook really well and lots of Latin foods. There is no seasoning, bland, most of the items used taste like powdered/add water. Very disappointed by the over all lack of flavor. Charro beans are more like beanie-weinies. The rice wasn’t to bad.The plates are on the dry side, as where sauce is normally overflowing completely covering everything, smothered. Not here! The salsa is a basic salsa, no spice, no seasoning. The chips are a little on the harder side and not a good bite, when dipped in the salsa. Wait staff is still learning at the time of this writing, so things can get a little slow or back up. The staff was nice and inviting, but attention to detail is at loss. Reminders for items, like straws, napkins, refills. Just no WOW, to the food. This is not Mexican food. It’s Tex-mex but commerical style, not freshly made from scratch! I welcome your feedback or 2cents! Peace!!

We regularly frequent them. We like this location better than the first. Never had a bad experience…

We love the original location, so we were very happy when this one opened closer to us. We went on a Friday and it wasn’t too crowded but the experience was horrible. The waitress walked by us about ten times telling us she’ll be right back before talking or drink order. It didn’t get any better after that. Our order was completely wrong. Sent it back and it was wrong again. Very disappointed. We drove by this location to go to the original location last week.

Waitress didn’t write anything down taking the order, so mine wasn’t right. I’ve never had an Enchilada that tasted like that. Hard to describe, it was during lunch on a week day there wasn’t but a few customers and it took 40 min. I ate the taco it was good.

Not a bad place. Extensive menu. Pleasant service. The food was just kind of bland. I had chicken enchiladas, and they were more like soft tacos with only meat inside. Rice and beans OK. Also, our margaritas were fine but not great. Flip side is very reasonable prices, about half of what dinner at Abuelo’s would cost. I guess you get what you pay for!

Teresa was our waitress she definitely went out of her way to make sure everything about our meal was pleasant. The rice is probably the best Mexican rice I’ve found in Lubbock will definitely come back

Teresa was an outstanding waitress. Helped us with the menu and gave amazing reviews of what was what. Went above and beyond on getting me sliced avocado when their guacamole had jalapeños in it.
