Went with my partner for sushi and ramen- we left very disappointed. I very rarely leave poor reviews but the service was terrible, waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order; keep in mind it was not busy at all. Food came out pretty quickly but lacked flavor. Overpriced, and small portions as well. Will not be returning.

Service was terrible. We waited over 90 minutes to get our order even though the restaurant was partially full and 5 sushi chefs. We were not informed it was slow or offered any appetizers while we waited until I walked up to the bar and asked how much longer of a wait. When our meal finally arrived, Sada added two fried shrimp heads to our order as a concession. Sushi tasted decent but was higher priced and frankly below the quality we recently had at Aomatsu .

Frankly, I don’t usually expect good quality sushi in a small town. The quality of nigiri sushi in Sada was different and impressed me quite a bit after a disappointing experience from one of Japanese restaurant in Portland downtown in the past weekend. When a wait staff answered my question, saying some of their fish comes directly from Japan, it impressed even further. I’d like to praise the restaurant owner’s effort to keep the quality of their food (fish). I cannot wait to go back to this restaurant on my next visit to Corvallis.

I was a little disappointed by this place since they have great reviews. I ordered 3 very different roles but they all tasted the same. I only eat cooked sushi in a soy wrap and have been requesting it this way for years now, but this was the first place where I’ve ordered it this way and found it lacking. Each one was very fishy despite being cooked and there wasn’t much of a difference in taste between the three. They also had a yellow soy wrap instead of the pink one I usually see at other places. In addition to this, our waitress wasn’t really helpful on providing information about their cooked options and was rather glum the entire time. Even my five year old, who usually devours sushi, didn’t like it. For the money we spent, it was such a disappointing experience.

Pretty dope Sushi Spot located in Collegetown Corvallis Oregon. It reminds me of a speakeasy the entire restaurant is down about 12 flights of stairs and the lighting is real low and dim which makes for a more personal experience. We stopped by Corvallis while relocating from the SF Bay Area to Seattle area and had an amazing dinner here. It was a 5 star experience and we will definitely stop by again if we are ever in the area in the future!
