Visited today with my daughter as we were in the area. This was the most disappointing BBQ I’ve had in a long time. She got a combo with pulled pork. I got a combo with pulled pork and 3 wings. Pulled pork was tender but had no flavor at all, not even on the bark. No smoky taste. Wings were okay but I’ve had better smoked wings in the area and portion was tiny. House sauces were nothing special either. Sides were good (fries, mac & cheese, baked beans, but realistically no one goes to a BBQ place for the sides. They go for the meat, and the meat was disappointing. BBQ is expensive, this place more than most, and absolutely was not worth it. More than $50 out the door with drinks, tax & tip and I left feeling like I’d have been happier going to one of the boring chain restaurants on Marsh Rd. Three stars overall for the sides and friendly staff, but I have zero interest in returning here when there are lots of great local options in the area. I’d have been interested in trying the brisket or ribs but the pricing was just absurd on them (+$7.50 for 3 ribs as a meat choice on a 2 meat combo that’s already $19??? I can get a whole rack of ribs for less than that combo at West Texas BBQ and I’d be confident it would be better quality).

The macaroni tasted like Velveeta macaroni and cheese (thin cheese soup over noodles). The pulled pork portion was small, but when my friend ordered the pulled chicken, it was twice the size of this. The pulled pork’s taste was juicy but bland, even with the sauces at the table. I also order lemonade which tasted as though I was sucking on hummingbird syrup. This was not worth $18.74 (this includes the 15% tip).

Great food & service!! Best Sweet Tea north of the Mason-Dixon Line! We are very excited to have found delicious BBQ so close to our new home in Michigan. Online orders are ready fast and pick up is quick and easy.

Have given Saddleback many tries hoping they’d get the basics of BBQ down but the food keeps getting worse and worse. Consistently the worst brisket I’ve had at a professional establishment.

Visited for lunch and not a sole inside. Except for the 3 workers chatting away. Should have took this as a sign to leave. Food was quick to the table but mac n cheese, beans and corn cake cold. Pulled pork and chicken dry and lacking any flavor. No table service. And then noticed the bbq sauce contains FISH. Seriously…they should make an allergen warning sign for the door. Next time we will go to Meat in Old Town.

The food in general tasted great, absolutely no complaints as far as taste. However I think the price was a bit high for the amount of food you get. 15.99 for 2 chicken tenders , less than a cup of Mac n cheese and seasoned fries that was around the same amount of a small at mcdonalds. 17.99 to do a slice of brisket instead of the 2 tenders. Food was Wendy’s/Culver’s good not outback good.

Terrible take out experience. Overpriced, small portions all around. Spent $100 on ribs, brisket and caesar salad. Everyone still hungry after. Salad cost $18 with side of brisket. Brisket portion was small and salad sad. I even left 20% tip for pick up. I won’t ever eat here again. I could get a sushi boat for this money.

We drove from Ann Arbor to eat here on a Monday night during the covid-19. We had an amazing experience. We were greeted by Crash, who was very hospitable and explained the menu and any questions we had thoroughly. He told us his favorite meal and recommended the full slab of ribs. I got the full slab of ribs and my wife, Rachel, got the beef brisket. Both came with a small corn cake that was really good. I got a side of the sweet potato mash and Rachel got the potato salad. The ribs were huge, much larger than normal. They also have a beef rib for the price of a full slab of regular ribs. It’s a single beef rib with about a pound of meat… Well be trying that next time. Overall the meal was great and experience was awesome! Thanks!

I Did carry out, but the interior was very clean and they offer some outdoor seating. The food was tasty. I had the ribs, the sausage, the corn cake, and a Caesar salad. It was extremely filling and quite good.

Not overly impressed! The pulled pork and brisket was super dry! The sides were good, had the seasoned fries and mac and cheese! I was not blown away! Do not know what the hype is all about! My daughter looked at them for catering her wedding, so glad she went with a bbq place in a Jackson!
