Food was delicious home cooking away from home. Staff was friendly and kind. I threw them a few curveball cocktails and they were more than happy to try. They went above and beyond and were extremely kind to our two boys. Drinks, food, dessert, and coloring books. Who could want more. We had a blast. Thank you everyone who made our experience great.

My lovely wife and I stopped for the night at the adjacent RV park (see my review there) and wandered into the Saddleback Steakhouse (the saloon side) for some “refreshments”. Wow, am I glad we did. The patrons were all very friendly and welcoming – but mind the signs on the outside warning that political correctness is not a thing in this establishment. Angie, the owner, was very outgoing and accommodating. We only got some appetizers, but the food we saw on other plates looked delicious. Everything about our experience here was great. Oh, if you’re anti-Trump you might not wanna visit here – just sayin’.

This is the type of authentic, friendly, roadside bar and restaurant that every corporate “neighborhood bar and grill” is trying to replicate. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is deservedly packed. Places like this are increasingly rare, and if you’re in the neighborhood this one worth stopping at, possibly making a detour for.

We stayed at the RV park nice leveled gravel pull through, a bit close to the highway, but if you take the lots farther back its not a bog deal. Went for dinner at the restaurant, Angie was the perfect host and the food was great. Afterwards we went to the bar next door, great atmosphere and good people. Thank you Angie for a night to remember.

Should be zero stars! Everything was good except one thing totally wrecked it. There is a sign on the wall by the door that says the day’s special is $2 off the menu price. I asked about it before I ordered and was told yes that is correct. I ordered the special and was billed the menu price so i asked for the $2 off again and was told it would not be honored. The $2 is not a big deal but WHY DO THAT? So . . no tip ( it would have been $10) i’m never coming back and i’m telling everyone I can about it all for a $2 bait & switch lie. I sure hope they enjoy that $2. One more thing, they charge for water (its not on the menu) would be nice if they told you when ordering.

Came it late … and was told only serving burgers or steak. Got a burger and fries. Wasn’t too bad . Burger was huge and pretty tasty. Fries needed to be cooked a bit longer .
