My boyfriend and I are visiting from out of town and were recommended this spot by a local couple. Upon arrival the woman who seated us was super friendly. We looked over the menu for a few minutes before our server came over. We ordered an appetizer and two pizzas. The food and the atmosphere was great. Our server on the other hand was less than attentive and his attitude came off unfriendly. At first we thought it was because he was swamped with other tables but we noticed he was more attentive with the group at the table next to us and even friendly to them. We had to grab his attention to order and when we were ready to pay and he never checked on us during our meal. We are unsure if there was anything we might have done to upset him given the *very* little and rushed interaction that we had with him. The sauce for our pizza crusts never came out and after telling him he said he’d take it off the check only for us to have to remind him again after receiving the check and again when we paid.

We ordered the #1 San Marzano, #2 Soppressata and #9 the Vongole. We all agreed that the Soppressata was the best. The Vongole would have been my favorite but I’d rather pay more for more than 5 clams and the sauce wasn’t evenly distributed, so two slices were great, the rest was meh.

Sag Pizza was a great place! The only thing I would warn people about is that they are not known for their full-size pies as their main dishes are personal pizzas (12″ diameter pies). Another critique is their high prices. However, that is to be expected at a high-end place like Sag Harbor. Out group had a great time! Waiters are very approachable! It looked like a nice bar with a lot of selections, although I didn’t try anything.

Located in the heart of Sag Harbor, Sag Pizza has an undeniably cool atmosphere and exceptional service. The Neapolitan-style pizza is good and clearly crafted with care, but it doesn’t quite reach the high bar set by the overall experience. While the pizza is decent, it’s the ambiance and excellent staff that will have me coming back.

Unfortunately, I can give only 2 stars. The price doesn’t mirror the food. The pizza was good, but the size wasnt even 12 inches. This is not what i expect for almost 30$. I was surprised, but not in the positive way.
