This place has great sandwiches & salads and lots of options. It’s fresh & staff was friendly. My only complaint is that they put too much dressing on all of our salads (4 of us in agreement) other than that it’s a great option for lunch! Portions are humongous. If you leave here hungry, you’re an animal

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Mesa Verde, and the vegan options were amazing. I had the TLT and cup of the Minestrone—it’s on homemade vegan focaccia! Also, the vegan triple chocolate cookie is giant and delicious. So exciting to have these options while stopping through on vacation.

Folks with food sensitivities be cautious. We have been eating here multiple times a week and love the food. It is fresh, tasty and visually appealing. The people are nice. However on two different occasions, I have been told something was gluten free that turned out was not. My gluten issue is such that I am housebound for several days and have extreme abdominal pain. Highly unpleasant. I am not saying not to eat here as I truly love all they are about. But if you have food sensitivities, check with more than one person (ideally a chef) before trusting what is in your meal.

Great service. Fantastic! Food tables could have been wiped down every half hour. They were a bit dirty.

I eat at Sage twice a week. There is no place like it in Durango for healthy, locally-sourced salads and bowls. I also appreciate the gluten-free options. My only criticism is that more times than once I have received to-go orders that are missing protein that I paid for, or have something that I asked be substituted. I feel like I clarify many times when I order, and still, sometimes, get what I don’t ask for. I am just asking for a little better consistency with the accuracy of the orders. Otherwise, keep up the great work.

Nice concept. Seems like more a lunch spot than dinner. Good portions. Tasty food. Vegan options.

Came in for the first time because of positive reviews about gluten free items, menu isn’t clearly marked and it’s set up like Chipotle or Mad Greens. The person assisting didn’t ask if I had any questions or were a new customer and seemed annoyed that I wanted to do two orders from the get go which set the tone for an unpleasant experience. When I asked a simple question about what grains were in the bowls he just told me to look at the plexiglass that gave 3 items (why isn’t the grains listed on the menu?) and he proceeded to add all to the bowl, so in turn I had to tell him I wanted only gluten free and asked if he could kindly add tofu and he was visibly and audibly frustrated with me. He took the tickets back and changed it and then irritatedly asked me if I had anymore changes. I even apologized to him and told him this was my first time in and I could tell he just wanted me to stop bothering him. Regardless of if the food is good or not, this made my experience humiliating. I’ve been in customer service for 9 years and would never treat anyone like that. It’s hard enough being gluten free (celiac disease) and I’ve had a long and tiring day. If you take anything from this review, I hope you use this as a reminder to always be patient and kind. You have no idea what someone is going through.

We really wanted to love this place but… Most of the staff weren’t friendly, I ordered the crimini bowl and didn’t get a single piece of crimini, the quinoa grain mixture had hard things in it like little rocks and I ended up not being able to eat that whole part of my bowl. My husband had a few hard things in his that had the regular grain but not as bad. Flavors were good. And, we love the concept and the menu. But, the missing ingedient in my bowl, the hard things I couldn’t eat and unfriendliness made for an unpleasant experience. We probably won’t go back.

Just the place for a light evening meal that was so tasty. I highly recommend the broccoli cheese soup. A cup is plenty and a bowl feeds two. All the sering personnel were friendly and efficient.
