Tom gave me the best dining experience!! After returning from a trip to Greece a couple months ago, I did not think I would ever be able to find Mediterranean food that would match the quality and authenticity – until I went to Sahara. Tom shared how they made food and gave the best recommendations of dishes to try. Everything was so fresh and top notch quality. I can’t wait to come back for another delicious meal!

Came inside and was greeted by the owner right away..he advised me they had huge orders and business that day and that it would be a hour to a hour and a half for food. I really wanted to try this place as the reviews were very encouraging.

I was in town for work and ordered to go. I’m so glad I found this place. Everything was delicious!!! I was indecisive and they were very busy, yet the gentleman taking my order was patient. The staff was so incredibly kind. Felt like a very authentic family owned restaurant. I will definitely go back if ever in the area again. From the pregnant customer a few months back, thank you!!!

The food was awesome! The owner Tom was very friendly and took the time to tell us about the entrées we chose as our meal. Pictured below is my entrée Gyro Platter (Gyro Meat, Rice, Hummus and a Side Salad). The Gyro Meat was thinly sliced and very flavorful. The Rice was cooked to perfection. The Side Salad and the Dressing was AMAZING!!! The Hummus had the perfect amount of seasonings and a nice addition of Chick Peas and Banana Peppers. Would definitely recommend and will return to try another entrée. Thank You Tom for a Delicious meal!

Went in on a slow day, and when I walked in the owner let me know they would be closing earlier than usual but I’d still have plenty of time to eat. He, along with his other workers did an amazing job of not only preparing amazing food quickly but also were very welcoming and accommodating despite the fact they’d be winding down to close soon. I had never been to a Mediterranean restaurant before so I tried the meat pie appetizer and kefta kabob platter since they were new to me. They brought out some pita bread and hummus while I waited for my food to be made. The meat pie was amazing, and he mentioned that they make the dough right there. Everything I tried had incredible flavor packed in without feeling overly spiced or seasoned. The kabob platter also included rice which paired well with the meat. Honestly, it was extremely refreshing to walk into a place I’ve never been yet have the staff treat me with full attention and with friendly attitudes. Back in NY where I’m from, if you walked into a place nearing closing time they’d either kick you out or only let you get simple options they can whip up quickly.

This is the best Mediterranean food in the area hands down. Much better and cheaper than the Mediterranean Grille and Café in Fogelsville. We’ve been coming here for about a year now and have brought many friends and family who all love it too. It’s a very quaint little hole in the wall type of place that keeps us constantly coming back. The owner and his couple of employees are all so friendly and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. We’ve tried at least half of the menu and everything we’ve had thus far has never disappointed. The portions are large and very reasonably priced for how much you get. 10/10 recommend!
