Saiga Vietnamese Eatery is tucked away in a business district that you wouldn’t notice if you didn’t find it on Yelp first. The staff are nice and the location is super small but clean. I tried their Combination Pho and Chicken Banh Mi and ate at home. The pho broth was good but not the richest of pho broths. The filet mignon (bò tái) was very high quality and fatty and delicious! The brisket was good but a bit dry and could be more flavorful. There were no mint, bean sprouts, lime or hoisin sauce though so don’t expect a full authentic restaurant pho experience.

This fast casual eatery is truly a hidden gem in Irvine. They are a perfect place to grab some breakfast or lunch before or during work. They serve premium Vietnamese food with a modern twist while preserving authenticity. I highly recommend getting their bánh mì. Their most popular bánh mì is the crispy pork belly and also their lemon grass grilled pork with rice vermicelli is top notch; you should round out your meal with one of the refreshing drinks, especially the Vietnamese coffee to wake you up.

I had an amazing experience at Saiga. I came to order take out as I was in the Irvine area. I got the pork belly Banh Mi and it was so good. The pork belly was so crispy. Like you hear the crunch when you bite down. The pork pieces were tendered and juicy. They make their own Banh Mi in house. So, you always get fresh bread daily. They also have garlic noodles with chicken and fried rice. They also have frozen food in the freezer section. You must stop by this place when you are in town.

First time ordering, got the grilled pork vermicelli and the passion fruit spritzer. Food was great, very fresh and they got the authentic flavor down. The pork was done perfectly and the egg roll was crispy. Delicious all around with the passion fruit spritzer making it a perfect meal. Awesome find and will return to try the other menu items/drinks.

The tofu banh mi was pretty good. The cookie was fresh, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The service was okay, but this place accepts only credit cards, no cash. The place is really really tiny, not enough places to sit and enjoy the meal. The folding chairs were very uncomfortable, and the one I sat on was literally leaning against the refrigerator sliding door. Maybe some seat cushions would be a plus? But still, that doesn’t solve the tiny interior. It was too cold and windy to sit outside…

I go to saiga with my friends regularly. It’s one of my favorite spots in Irvine. The food tastes really good and they’re consistently good quality. The texture, moisture and seasonings are just right.

I’ve eaten here three times in the past week lol. Saiga has quickly turned into one of my favorite eateries. Normally I order the grilled pork Banh mi but this week I discovered their tofu and it’s quite honestly some of the BEST tofu I’ve had eating out. The flavor of the breading is just so good! The rice bowls are super filling and delicious. Highly recommend their lychee green tea as well.
