I felt like a neglected child eating here. It was very busy and they had like only 3 people front of house, but the level of service was not acceptable. If you can’t serve everyone adequately, don’t seat them. We saw 2 parties sit down, receive the menu, but then leave after 10 minutes of not being serviced. They didn’t even get water. Heck! We didn’t even get water.

First experiencing this local place in my neighborhood and it was tasty. Loved the decor and especially the fish tanks on the tvs. Food – got pho and some summer rolls. Both were tasty and fresh. Service- prompt and professional. I wasn’t sure about the check part but eventually we saw another couple go to the cashier to get the check. Overall I would recommend this place.

I came here with my family and really enjoyed this restaurant! Friendly and quick service with an awesome atmosphere, the owner came and chatted with us after our meal and he was funny and kind. The food was amazing, a very full menu of options – I can’t recommend the summer rolls enough, I could have eaten ten of them they were so good. For my entree I had a sizzling Vietnamese crepe which was unlike any dish I’ve ever had, it was so good. Prices were very reasonable for the portions – I’ll definitely go back the next time I’m in Arlington!

It’s unfortunate to have to write this, but I feel it necessary for accountability on the part of the establishment. My girlfriend and I had an early dinner here on July 15th as we have done in the past after we come into town here. We have eaten here 2 – 3 other occasions and the experience was normally a good one.

The food tasted great. I ordered the “grilled pork and crispy roll w/rice” platter and it was delicious. The pork was juicy, the egg roll had a good filling and fried to a perfect crisp, and the take out order was ready 10 minutes before the estimated time. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for pho, especially when the place across the street has much lower prices for that. However, when it comes to other dishes besides pho, this place is a pretty good option. The menu prices are steep, but so is everywhere else in the area — this was the most expensive grilled pork with rice I’ve ever had ($17) but at least it tasted amazing so it wasn’t a regretful decision.

Good place to get pho while trying to to impress. Food is very good and the service is friendly. Very good drinks specials for happy hour as well.

Don’t even bother ordering cocktails. One of the WORST ever we had in our entire lives. The food was fine. If you are taking a bunch of friends for dinner and they are so unhappy about the drinks and you end up with a hefty bill, not ideal, is it?

Honestly, I have pretty mixed feelings about Saigon. I still appreciate that they have a vegetarian pho option, which Saigon’s highly popular counterpart across the street lacks, but their vegetable and tofu pho is honestly one of the only advantages that Saigon has over the other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The vegetarian pho broth is pretty lacking in flavor, but thankfully everything can be fixed with a bottle of sriracha and hoisin sauce. They provided an average serving of fried tofu, but the tofu was a bit dry despite being submerged in the broth, but I couldn’t tell if it was because the tofu was overcooked or had been left to sit out for too long. The veggies were a bit overcooked, but I appreciated that they were quite plentiful. One thing that Saigon does have that other nearby Vietnamese restaurants lack, though, is traditional Vietnamese fare aside from banh mi and pho. One of the friends that I came here with ordered their fried tilapia platter, and he was pleasantly surprised by how authentic and delicious their take on this traditional dish was! I certainly appreciate Saigon, and it makes me sad to see how empty the restaurant is every time I visit, but the quality of their pho really can’t compare to the many other Vietnamese spots in the D.C. / NoVA area. I’ll still come here out of convenience (and because Pho 75 still can’t accommodate my dietary restrictions), but if I have access to a car or am truly craving great pho, I’ll probably opt for another location.

Wasn’t very flavorful, but it was decent. I ordered chili lemongrass tofu and it was lacking spice. Also don’t know why they would serve fish sauce with the vegetarian spring rolls. The only reason I didn’t give 4 stars was for the price.
