It all started out as a venture to counter feelings for homesickness for owner Tyler Phan, who opened Saigon’s Corner to the Iowa public on June 2018 in its first location in Coralville. The mission was to introduce Iowans to a hot bowl of the hearty Vietnamese soup, known as Pho—using his family’s recipe who sold Pho in Saigon for over 35 years.

Pleasant surprise to come across this place on a weekend night with plenty of empty seats. The food quality is better than most places you can eat in Vietnam, and the dish is meticulously prepared.

I have missed authentic Vietnamese food ever since I moved here, but am incredibly happy to report that everything on the menu here feels like it’s been pulled right out of Little Saigon in Orange County. As others have mentioned, the service could be a little more attentive, but everyone working there is gracious and welcoming, and we received our entrees very quickly – little things, like offering to-go containers or refilling water, are nothing that can’t be improved over time.

Amazing pho!!!! moving here from the east coast, I was desperately missing some home cooked Vietnamese food. Gave this place a try, and did not disappoint. Authentic, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious! Mom & pop owned restaurant, everyone was very friendly and will definitely be coming back for more

Good Pho and good service. The standard bowl is enormous, probably enough for two normal ppl.

Idk the pho tasted different than what I’m used to from Chicago (argyle), it was still good just not the same. It had a strong pepper taste. I got the P.6. Pho Tai Bo Vien, however would highly recommend P.13. Bun Bo Hue — spicy beef noodle soup, it was delicious!

Excellent service and staff. Go easy on the chili oil if you aren’t into spicy though haha! The staff was nice enough to change our broth because we were way too weak for the spice great egg rolls and spring rolls

I’m from Chicago (food mecca) visiting my daughter and was blown away by the freshness, craftsmanship, and authenticity of the Pho. If that wasn’t enough, the staff couldn’t be kinder and the vibe is fresh. Well done Saigon’s Corner! *****

Beautiful, delicious, filling food! Great atmosphere, too. We did take-out but their seating is comfortable and spacious. The photo is of vermicelli noodle with eggroll, pork chop, and shrimp package for takeout. The shrimp & pork chop were perfectly done and the sauce was so good!

Food is definitely awesome and must try! However, service needs some improvement on being more attentive and the table we were seated at was not wiped down (thats my only down experience)… food, serving sizes and presentation was on point though, (despite it’s very pricey for vietnamese food).
