I’ve been here a few times since it opened. Dinner service was phenomenal. Tried multiple things off the menu. Highly recommend the Parisian burger, the french onion soup & the chocolate soufflé . Their happy hour special are AMAZING! I love the moody atmosphere of the restaurant + the staff has been amazing every visit. This place has a generally good vibe and feels like the small family owned diners and small restaurants from NYC and Paris.

Loved it. Stayed at the Palihotel and ate dinner and brunch here. Really beautiful space with classic French bistro atmosphere. Superb burger with on point martini in the evening and craveable brunch items like French toast and croque madame. Oh, and strong coffee.

My wife and I had dinner at the Saint James French Diner last night and had a wonderful experience. We decided to try this place since it was relatively new to the Gaslamp area. The service was excellent. I wish I was able to remember our server’s name, but she was adorable, friendly, inviting and professional. The cute vibe of the place does indeed align with the French diner aesthetic they’re going for. It’s very charming with its French details. The food was delicious, savory and well balanced. We also had some cocktails which were also mixed very well. We definitely plan to go back so we can try other items on the menu. I hope this place sticks around because I would also love to bring some friends here in the future.

10 stars for food, service, atmosphere, and soundtrack. An awesome find. Thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal from the croquettes (best bar food ever!) to perfectly cooked fish, and amazing dessert. Aaron’s service was impeccable and recommendations were perfect. Bar service likewise and wine list paired perfectly with the food. We’ll be back!

We stopped in a few days after they opened for happy hour. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktail of the day was absolutely delicious, and the happy hour burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. The vibey space plus the great happy hour will have me returning for sure.
