This is the place to go when you are hungry and haven’t eaten Japanese food in a long time. The food I ordered was excellent. I wish I had a bigger stomach and got a few extra sushi or rolls. The price point though for the AYCE is fair in this economy.

No idea why this place isn’t more busy. The food and service are amazing. The atmosphere and furniture are very nice. We live in VA Beach near town center and have no hesitation making the drive out here to go to Sakari. WAY better than Ninja or Sushi King or Volcano. The cold AND hot menu items are both excellent. Not just sushi, something for everyone. This place is a hidden gem because seems very few people know of it or come here.

This sushi restaurant is pretty good. Not exquisite by any means but for the price and location you cannot really go wrong. First and foremost, if you are coming from the West Coast, then this sushi restaurant will disappoint you. However, if you are local to the East Coast then it will be pretty good. The prices are decent, and the choices are abundant. What makes this place different from others is that is it a buffet sushi restaurant. You have the option to order at the table OR walk over to the buffet area and grab all the sushi and other foods to your hearts delight. For the price, the sushi was good. This place has a beautiful interior dining area with no outdoor dining area.

First time coming here. We came for dinner and the buffet price was about $26 – which all things considering, isn’t bad for the selection. The server was extremely friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. The buffet gives you options such as sushi, sashimi, chicken on a stick, gyoza, basically anything off the menu it’ll be in the buffet. The sushi was really good even though buffet sushi gets a bad wrap at times. The hot section could have been a bit warmer, but otherwise it was a great selection. The buffet also came with soup, salad, and dessert – so save room! My husband ordered the chicken Katsu and his meal came with an abundance of food as well. This restaurant is smaller, but don’t let that fool you on selection and great customer service.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting family recently. Overall experience was just alright and left wishing for more. Service was alright and the buffet was out of some items. Sushi was good and there was plenty of that. My wife ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bento box and she said the chicken wasn’t what you wound expect. Overall it was ok.

Food is ok. Not best, but ok. I could eat here everyday, but finally decided to cut my ties with this place. Customer service is the worse. Though they are extremely polite and friendly, they take forever and a year to check on you. I’ve eaten here nearly everyday for the past 2 months, but and decided tonight to never return. I love the owners but can’t stand waiting years to get refills, so r make no additional orders.
