This place has the smallest I’ve ever come across it’s less than half than a regular piece. The fish on the sushi did not looked fresh as it was dark. For a buffet I was very disappointed with the food it was bland. Not sure where they got this crabs but they had no meat in’em.

“Sakura” is a popular name for a restaurant in Savannah but I was definitely at Sakura Buffet today where I stuffed my face. Lots of variety here and it was fresh stuff. A well cared-for buffet with surprisingly good sushi and several high protein items on the steam tables. Sure, you can get the fried and they have plenty of that but if you’re looking for decent food that won’t leave you anything but satisfied, Sakura gets it done.

The food here is delicious! They have so many options for the buffet. When I went, they had at least 20 different options for sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls. They have seafood, vegetables, chicken, beef, and pork. There is a hibachi area where you can create your own plate and have them cook it fresh. We love the unlimited crawfish and sushi, so this buffet is perfect for us. The biggest complaint i have is that the staff isn’t concerned with refills at all. You have to ask for them every time and have a hard time getting their attention. I will say that I understand they are busy. I am also a server, but with the open layout, you can see the staff talking to each other rather than attending to customers. The food is cold sometimes even after it comes “fresh” out of the back. When they refill the food, you’d expect it to be hot. I still love this buffet, and apparently everyone else does too! This place stays packed.
