This was not a good experience from start to finish. My boyfriend and I stopped here as we were getting our car serviced nearby and thought this would be good for lunch while we wait. We entered and were the only ones there. We ordered our food, I got 2 rainbow rolls (salmon and tuna) and he got a the shrimp and steak hibachi bowl. We waited almost 25-30 min for our food, despite no one being ahead of us. When we did get the food, my boyfriend noticed his veggies were still really tough and barely cooked and his steak was not only over done, but unseasoned and only smothered in sauce to flavor it. His rice was crunchy and underseasoned. My sushi was no better. The raw fish was warm despite the rice being cold. As someone who is really susceptible to stomach illness, I am now very concerned what I might get from warm raw fish. While I know there is always a risk with sushi, this feels like there was no food safety or regulations considered. I am thoroughly disappointed at spending $40 on a meal we couldn’t eat.

Seriously the best sushi I have ever had. It is fresh and absolutely delicious. We don’t go anywhere else for sushi nights! Their cheese wontons are also amazing. Definitely recommend!

The sushi is at most barely good. They definitely don’t use seasoned rice wine vinegar for the rice. It’s very bland. I ordered an eel roll, which should always have the eel on top. It didn’t. I think they just used an eel sauce. Won’t get it there again!

I’m a native to the area, but live in California now. I’ve lived in many states across the country, in more cities than I can remember, and I have never found a place that makes better food than Sakura. No where else has even come close. I don’t come home often, but when I do, I have to get at least one meal from here every trip, if not more! My go-to is the Steak and Shrimp hibachi, and it really is my absolute favorite food from any resturant I’ve been to in the entire world.
