I’ve been going to their Harrison location for years. It’s always good food and the Newark local is no exception . I usually avoid getting the vegetables when I order Lo mein because I feel like they dumped too much of it on at the expense of the noodles and meat. But other than that, it’s a great place to get a quick bite.

The food is the same as with the other Sakura’s, the food was prepared upon ordering which is good and you have to either order ahead of time before you come in or do what I did… Wait … This location though is snug. Directly in front of the door is the counter to order and area to prep the food. There are small table and seats on the side. Even though the area is near the business buildings as with any public place you have to be alert of your surroundings and sometimes get approached by people asking for help (either subtlety or blatantly).

Me and my daughter frequent here for our mother/daughter dates and we love it. Friendly staff and really good food. Clean restrooms and eating area. Nice added addition to downtown Newark. Enjoy if you decide to check it out. Oh and Happy New Year everyone.

After walking around the area, I will say this is the cleanest looking restaurant in the area, I didn’t end up ordering food only because I wasn’t in the mood for heavy food but the clean looking appearance drew me closer. . Why are restaurants in Newark! New York not clean? Are those working there blind? Or was I in the wrong neighborhood , I went back to my hotel with an empty stomach. ‍♀️ We can do better if we work from our hearts. Work as if the business belongs to you. Make it succeed and you will succeed.
