We had a very nice experience here. We came at 8pm on a Sunday and it was not crowded, as it usually is during dinner hours. We got the Hibachi and the food was prepared right in front of us by a very friendly Hibachi Chef. He made many jokes and we had a good time with another couple that was seated across from us that we did not know. The atmosphere was hip and the restaurant loomed very modern.

I went here today and had the worst experience ever. I don’t even want to talk about what happened because it was just beyond me. All I can say is I was argued with over my food being cold and the reasoning was “everything is cooked separately, therefore sometimes things come out cold but not ice cold”. My $40 filet mignon was cold and I GOT ARGUED WITH. When I said I was over it and wanted to leave and just pay for what I got, I was charged $20 for my drink and for the hibachi soup and salad. Which I didn’t even eat. I always push business to this place and rave about how much I love it because I’m a frequent customer. But after my experience today, I won’t be back. Believe me!

HORRIBLE!! I used to come here 2-3 times a week for almost a year. The staff knew me by name when I walked in. I tipped amazing just because they made me feel extra accommodated and the food was SO good! Prior to coming here that frequently, I have been coming to Sakura in Sicklerville and Mays landing for over 10 years with my family. I don’t know what happen to this place! The sicklerville location drastically changed! I don’t know if there’s new owners but it’s horrible. All new staff that isn’t friendly. If you complain they act like they don’t understand you. The food isn’t the same. NOT good, to the point where my fiancé doesn’t want to eat there anymore. The prices went up so much it’s obnoxious. I’m aware of inflation but still OBNOXIOUSLY went up compared to what it was. I loved Sakura so much I still crave it and I went today and was so unimpressed that I honestly shouldn’t have been surprised and should of went with my gut by not getting it. Also they charge you a $1.00 for a brown bag to go. Again, I’m aware of NJ law with bags now but never had to purchase a bag at a restaurant. On the receipt it shows NJ environment etc…. Today I got sushi and I just so happen to take a picture when I thought of writing a review. Barely any avocado. That’s not how it should look. Their proportions with everything they serve are so small. If their going to higher the prices they should at least leave the servings as they were if not more. They lost my business. Just so disappointed as I loved it here and don’t know of any other good hibachi places local.

I’ve been to many hibachi style restaurants and this one, I could take it or leave it. The food is fair, and the table show is not that entertaining. Even the children at the table were not that impressed. I think the fried rice is overcooked, too soft and not that flavorful. I came to this one to meet a friend and it’s a little out of my way. I know that I wouldn’t go out of my way again to come here if it was up to me.
