Ordered sushi and hibachi to go today. By far the best sushi I’ve had in a while. The hibachi was great as well. Steak was tender and I enjoyed their fried rice. My favorite part of the whole thing was the chicken tempura roll. It has a delicious sauce on top (not sure what kind), but it made the whole roll. The vegetable roll was perfect as well. A nice bite of crisp fresh vegetables in every roll!!

Nice weekday service on the patio. I found their Riesling to be really refreshing and a great pairing with my roll. I think I was done with my lunch in under 30 minutes, which was perfect for a quick weekday bite.

I wish they allowed half stars! I give this a 4.5 out of 5. I’m a huge fan of the ratio of rice to fillings in the sushi rolls. Our sushi rolls and sashimi didn’t come with ginger or wasabi, which is why the -1/2 star, I was a bit disappointed by that. The seaweed salad was a generous portion which justified the price. The sashimi was also a perfect portion for the price as well. I typically get mine from Wu’s House in Merriville for how generous their servings are on sashimi but didn’t want to make the drive with the highway closed today 🙂 My husband got the coconut shrimp roll…what a treat! (He shared).

I gave it a second chance but that was the last one. All other things aside, most of the sushi just tastes like nothing. Even the rice tastes like just made plain rice instead of sushi rice. The biggest issue this time though was the filler in the rolls. They list the ingredients but don’t tell you that they include breadcrumbs, which turns out the be most of the filling. For me, it was just a matter trying to choke down plain rice stuffed with soggy breadcrumbs and no identifiable fish. For my wife, it means intense stomach problems because she ate a piece before she realized there was gluten in them. This was despite us telling the server she could not have gluten multiple times and letting her know all the common stuff in a Japanese restaurant that might contain gluten. She even brought gluten free soy sauce for my wife. Why would they have special gluten free soy sauce if they literally also hide gluten containing ingredients in some of the rolls? Aside from all that, the sushi just isn’t good… or really bad, its just a waste of money that will leave you still craving actual sushi. I’ve had much better sushi from Stracks and that’s a LOW bar.

I tried this out with a friend less than a month ago and we have been back four times already. The sushi is amazing and the portion sizes of the hibachi are perfect for lunch. It fills you up without making you feel to full..it’s reasonably priced between 12-16 a lunch meal. It’s amazing.

We love this place. The hibachi is delicious and the sushi is always fabulous. The best part is the staff. They are always so wonderful to our one year old whenever we dine in. It’s hard to find a spot to take a little one that mom and dad can enjoy themselves. They always make it an enjoyable experience.

This place is worth it. Personally the best sushi I’ve ever had. The quality is seemingly fresh the prices are not much different then anywhere else in the area. I personally like the atmosphere they also have the best mushroom soup I’ve ever had compared to other sushi joints. Great addition to crown point and their restaurants.
