Some of the best Sushi I’ve had. Very fresh and flavor traditional rolls. Wife had the Chicken Hibachi with fried rice. Also excellent. Great addition to downtown Sun Prairie!

Just had a really good meal here. The shrimp tempura appetizer was wonderful! We also had the green dragon roll which is shrimp tempura with cucumber, avocado and eel sauce. The other sushi we had was the 99 sushi roll which was deep fried with mixed fish, spicy mayo and eel sauce. My son loved the seaweed salad and the pork goza too. Really good service also. We will definitely be back

It’s a little bit of a hole in the wall place, but some of the best tuna I’ve had in the area. Not the best tuna I’ve had, but I did live in an area known for their tuna in Japan. The salmon was very buttery. Gyoza were deep fried rather than the traditional pan fried, but still really good. The only thing I was a little sad about was that I had to order tea by the cup. I drink a lot of tea, but it was a very good matcha. I just wish I had the option of ordering a pot of tea. Definitely will be back here and highly recommend!!

That was some amazing sushi. My wife and I grabbed some of our favorites to try out to compare to past experiences and I absolutely did not expect it to come out this great. The place seems like a work-in-progress but I am glad they are doing what they’re doing. We will most certainly be returning.

This is the BEST sushi in the Madison area. Better than Red, better than Muramoto (both great in their own right ); it’s that good. The locale isn’t upscale, but the sushi is fantastic. The Sweetheart Roll is perhaps the crown jewel, but I haven’t had a bad roll in all my times frequenting Sakura. The owner, a very kind gentleman, is there every single day and usually rolls the sushi himself. Because it is a small family owned restaurant, dine in isn’t a quick in and out experience, but the service is great and the food is worth the wait. During COVID they have pivoted to take out, and the quality has remained fantastic. A great locally owned business, right in the heart of downtown Sun Prairie.

The sushi here is absolutely delicious. My favorite is the shrimp tempura roll. So happy this restaurant is here in Sun Prairie. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Just picked up a to go order and the manager gave us a free white fish tempura appetizer which was very good also. Thank you!!

First time trying this place. We ordered delivery and while the sushi was really good, it was only 5 pieces.

Ordered for pickup. All the food was cold by the time I arrived there, and my drink was missing. There are only 5 pieces for a sushi roll, not 6 (I was told by the owner). In terms of flavor, I feel like I could get the same thing at a grocery store; doesn’t measure up to restaurant quality.

This little corner restaurant has gone through so many changes since I moved to Sun Prairie a few years ago. I am hoping the folks at Sakura will be here permanently! The food is delicious and quality. Everyone is always so courteous when I stop in. I’ve been ordering a lot of takeout from them and the association with eatstreet makes it really easy. Plus, he always put a little free extra something in the orders, not necessary yet so nice!

Nice new spot for sushi in the Downtown District of Sun Prairie. The roll was plated very nicely and was delicious! The only downside of the place is that there is a bit of a musty smell. It’s possible it was just that day we were in. We will definitely try again!
