Who knew you could have wonderful sushi in Flagstaff, Arizona? We asked our sushi chef, Z, to prepare his favorites and send them out in the order he felt was appropriate to please the palate. Every dish built on the next and were artfully displayed. His sauces were on point. No need for extra soy. A special thank you to Z and the manager, who were excellent. Definitely a great last dinner on our visit to Flagstaff.

Very good sushi, excellent service, and a Japanese steak house all together. Never a problem with the sushi, tastes great and it’s well worth the visit.

First of all they crammed 10 of us (3 different parties) into a table for 8. The service was slow, the chef didn’t even come put until 45 minutes after we sat down. The portions are tiny for a hibachi restaurant and there is NO yum yum sauce to be found. The rice was way over peppered and although I appreciate trying to personalize the sauce for everyone’s meal, but come on, 40 minutes after he started cooking I finally got my salmon. The sushi was decent but who doesn’t bring out soy sauce and a cup for sauce with your sushi? And to add insult to injury you put an automatic 18% gratuity on my bill. I will not be coming back, I was sorely disappointed in this place. Do not recommend.

I used to love this place but it’s gone a little downhill. However, that was not due to the service – they had a staffing issue and we had to wait quite a while for our dinner, BUT the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our chef, when he was finally able to get away, was a total sweetheart and very fun! He was very new to the job and we were already impressed by his skills. The kindness of the staff absolutely made up for the wait. The one thing I wasn’t really a huge fan of was the food – the vegetable portion was extremely small and disappointing compared to every other teppanyaki restaurant I’ve been to. Not the chef’s fault, he cooked them well! It was just very tiny as a portion compared to what I’m used to, and especially at the price point. Fried rice is usually the standard at teppanyaki restaurants as well, but not here – and to upgrade to it, it was actually quite a bit more – I believe $4. Probably won’t go again, not with the prices for what I was getting, but it wasn’t the staff’s fault!

Skip this place for sure. We went here for a cousins birthday and expected the normal teppanyaki experience(dinner and a show) and hardly received either. I wouldn’t blame the chefs because it seems like they were just thrown in there with zero experience. Best part of the meal was the salad. Steak and chicken were practically inedible. However the bad experience they won some points back when they brought out this beautifully done watermelon Swan for my cousins birthday.

Food was amazing, and I needed a new pair of pants because my old ones were filled with cream. The dude with a tattoo on his face is the coolest bro I have ever had cook for us and I hope he gets a raise. Idk if my mom tipped him but she should’ve. Love that guy.

The restaurant was very cold! We were the only table having Teppan on a Sunday night. We had a 6pm reservation. We were seated right at 6pm, but the chef did not appear until 655pm. By then we were getting hangry. Chef Eric was wonderful once he started cooking. Personable and entertaining. The Chateau tenderloin was amazingly tender and cooked to perfection!! The salmon was fabulous a well!

Came for hibachi when we were staying in the hotel. They didn’t have a chef for the grill so we got sushi rolls and starters delivered via room service. It was one of the best sushi meals I’ve ever had! The kids meals were also very hearty. The ingredients were fresh and all had wonderful flavor. Our 8 year old even had quite a few pieces of our rolls. Its unfortunate we don’t live in the area, or we would definitely visit this place again.

The Sushi here was really good! I’m scratching my head about the negative reviews. This place was clean and the Sushi Chefs working tonight, Davie and Josh, were great. There was plenty of fish on our sushi. My favorite was the Flagstaff Roll, but it was all great…. as you can see, we tried 5 different items. I will definitely be back!
