You know what? I was skeptical about eating pizza in the middle of nowhere, but Sal’s was pretty damn good! The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The fries are crinkle cut, which is usually a turnoff, but theirs were pretty good. The only issue I had was a veggie sub I ordered. It only came with tomato, lettuce, and cheese. I thought it would have mushrooms, onions, peppers, or something else too, but I didn’t feel like bothering anyone with it lol.

I do not live here but have been visiting the area yearly since my youth. Sal’s has always been a favorite and a must have for the area. It’s not just good in a nostalgic sense – it’s just plain good! Coming inside is like going into a time machine too. I wish there were more places that had the cool, local, family owned vibe like this. Please support this local business and ensure it stays busy for years to come!

Was in the mood for a pizza, but noticed their pricing was rather strange. Two sizes and only a dollar difference! Had lasagna instead. I suppose it was reheated in the oven, but the sauce was extremely hot and the center of lasagna was cold. Had a slightly medicinal flavor but I found quite strange. Salad was accompanied with crackers and not bread, in an Italian restaurant? Yes, as others have noted, the decor is rather depressing and quite old. A bill of $21 for a lunch portion of lasagna which included a side salad and a draft beer including tip was a little on the high side from my standpoint. Probably never go back even though I am new to the area and love Italian food.

Food doesn’t resemble pics, staff slack charged for food and go to pick up 30 min later had no recollection of order but charged credit card. Kids n kitchen and disorganized as all get out. Annas got my business.
