This place came highly recommended so when our 24th anniversary rolled around we decided to celebrate with our favorite two things, pizza and beer. The restaurant itself is very small with a strong Italian vibe right down to the red checkered tablecloths. Open concept kitchen and bar with famous Italians adorning the walls in all their glory. We walked in at 1730 on a Saturday night and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table inside. They were clearly very busy with their takeout window as well. We were seated in a cramped corner, no complaints it totally fit the vibe, and the waitstaff had our drinks on the table within minutes. We ordered wings, chicken alfredo, and two pizzas. Wings were okay, pasta was overpriced and also just okay, but the pizza was amazing!! And the beer was cold. We will definitely be back for the pizza and beer. Molto bene!!

Pizza is my favorite food. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert. Put them together with a great Caesar salad, and I’ve reached Italian Nirvana. Sal’s is a local restaurant that makes pizza right. Sal himself has been inducted into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame so it’s like you’re being served NY-style pizza by Rocky Balboa. The server told me that, on Memorial Day weekend, the line for a table was down the sidewalk. It was a 90-minute wait, and no one batted an eye at the estimate. I have no reason to doubt her: Every bite was delicious. Thanks, Sal’s, for great food, great service and a great atmosphere.

Food was great, service was good. They were busy so we had to sit on front porch. I like outside dining but the chairs did not match the table in height and was not comfortable.

3-12-2023 update – something has changed with Sal’s in the last couple of months. We dined there tonight and the entire staff was new and all of our favorite staff are suddenly gone. The food was unfortunately room temperature and wasn’t great like it normally is. For almost 3 years this has been our favorite spot for Italian food but now we aren’t sure if things will be as good as they were.

Love this spot. Has a family run business feel to it. Service was great, pizza was delicious. They also have plenty of pasta options.

My husband and I are regulars at sals and we haven’t had the best experiences but last night we placed an order to go and was shocked at the customer service. There was two young girls that took care of us and they were as sweet as they could be. From when we placed the order to when we picked it up I have never had such a pleasant experience. Our food was ready when we got there and we were greeted with the two biggest smiles. They are the reason we will be coming back

I know that Sals has gone through some changes, but they are back. Pizza is amazing!! Miss the fight videos but the atmosphere is there.

Got in just as they were opening and they made me the best pizza in less than 15 minutes. They were visibly busy with take-out orders and took great care of me. Great food, great service!

We were craving some pizza while on vacation. We found THE PIZZA! Located a few miles from the place we were staying, and settled in a very nice, cozy shopping center.

Sal’s is a popular local spot that is usually packed with customers trying to get a seat. You have to yell in order to be heard at your own table, it feels like you’re always in someone’s way, and the poor servers are clearly overwhelmed trying to take care of everyone. Sal’s outgrew their current location a long time ago, and I wish they would move or expand their restaurant like other popular places (Southern Soul, Bubbas, etc.) so that it doesn’t feel so packed inside. I hope they decide to move to a bigger location (maybe a location with more than one single-person bathroom for both patrons and employees?) to make the dining experience more enjoyable for their customers.
