I drove from MD to Lake George for a weekend and had to stop in my college town for pizza! Sal’s was just as good as I remembered.. though the cold cheese hits differently at 30 for lunch than 19 for a super early breakfast.

My family was in town from Chicago (Southside, so you know we have good pizza) for baseball and we stumbled across this place and they did not disappoint. The pizza was pretty damn good, the crust was amazing and the ingredients were fresh. We tried the supreme, ricotta/spinach/tomato and pepperoni and sausage.

While visiting the area my hubby and I stopped into Sal’s Pizza about 7 times out of a two week period of time…it is that amazing!!! Seriously, some of the best pizza you will ever try. The white pizza by the slice with tomato, ricotta, and spinach is my favorite but we absolutely loved every variety we tried….and we tried a lot!!! The crust is just right…chewy with a crunch on the bottom. They warm up the slices in the oven before serving. All of the staff are welcoming and lovely. We would rate over 5 stars if we could. Thank you Sals for making our vacation!!!!

Sal’s takes the pizza pie and then some award for life! When friends knew we were heading to Cooperstown, it was a MUST for us to go or they wouldn’t forgive us… now I could beat them up because you cannot get that kind of amazing variety, taste and quality back in Florida! I’d never had meat bread knots nor heard of them… and WOW! Sausage and peppers knots… AMAZING!! Pizza that wasn’t soaked in grease! Chicken Parm… don’t get me started… hand battered, fried to perfection with the most amazing sauce and pasta! Help… I can’t get this delivered to Florida, can I?!? Lol

Like all millennials born & raised in Queens, I am a pizza expert. Just stopped in on a whim, grabbed 2 slices and a fountain drink for me and my boyfriend. It came out to $7 and some change (amazing) and was delicious! The fountain drink even came in the same cup the corner pizzeria used when I was growing up. Crust was fresh and crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Definitely the new spot!

3 different times I’ve gone there and they continue to do it. Counter help ask what you want, you request your slices, tosses em in the oven, you pay with cash and then with bare hands puts pizza in the box. Last time I was there it aggravated me so bad, I threw the pizza out. Stop handling cash and then my food. especially in this day n age.
