This family owned restaurant has THE BEST pizza. Thin crust, just the right amount of red sauce, and real cheese. It’s not greasy, everything is fresh, and the owner and his son are welcoming and sweet. It’s not a fancy place, family friendly, and self serve. We were going to order out, and pick up the order via drive through window (great idea!) but couldn’t get through on the phone. After noticing that it was only a mile away from where we were staying, we decided to brave the stormy weather and go there. I’m so happy we did!

Superb, local pizza joint as we passed through PA on a long journey. Enjoyed the jalapeño poppers and BBQ boneless wings as well. Staff were also kind enough to make us a Caesar salad to go after they had already started closing. Will return if I’m ever down this way!!

I was in town for two days. This pizza is awesome. They are nice folks, too. This is real normal/regular pizza for hungry men, not that “art pizza” junk so many places sell. Wonderful! Nice building, too.

The food used to be great here, but not anymore. Our appetizers were basically ok, nothing great, the soda was flat and flavorless, but our pizza was AWFUL. Not at all as described, covered in grease, looked and tasted gross. Tried to talk to them about it. One gentleman took paper towels to sop up the grease, while the other guy just argued with me. Glad I never have to go back, I still feel sick from eating there.

Visiting in the area and stopped by for lunch before heading to a bowling tournament and was super pleased! The location is very inviting with a large seating area indoor as well as outdoor seating. My family of 3 had grilled chicken caesar salad and an order of mozz sticks. There was another chicken caesar salad which was supposed to be in a wrap but there was a misunderstanding..either way my sister in law decided to have the salad since it was already made and she said it was so delicious! Most salads give you too little chicken but this one was loaded with flavorful chicken and the right amount of croutons, cheese, and dressing..and the salad portion itself was very generous for the price! The location was very clean, the staff was vey nice..the menu has a great big variety of food items. There is even a drive-thru window which I have never seen before! Obviously we didn’t nor did we have the need for it but I am sure the regulars appreciate it! Our food came out fast, hot, and super delicious. We will be sure to come back if we are back in the area. We ate our food so fast we forgot to take pics

Honest review; I’ve always loved Sal’s. In my opinion they have the best Italian in the etown/mt Joy area. Tonight I ordered one of my favorites, the special Italian hoagie; and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The roll was good as always, but the meat tasted like it was from a lunchables There was also an overwhelming taste of bologna… hope they correct this even if it means charging more.

We had to stop and try Sal’s. The outside of the building is gorgeous. I ordered a cheese steak Stromboli and wife ordered a chicken wrap. Both were delicious. I highly recommend stopping In and trying Sal’s!

Truth Comes
I used to like this place but tonight was so crazy I’m speechless. I ordered the Shrimp Penne with Pink Vodka Sauce, and Mozzarella Sticks. I tried to order Caprese but they didn’t have any so I ordered broccoli bites. Went to pick it up, they had us pay then handed us the bag and as we were driving away I noticed the broccoli bites and my bread were not there. We went back and they told us we were out and seemed surprised that we’d ask for a refund for the $8 of food we didn’t get. He came back a second later and said he refunded it. I asked how because we paid in cash and they never handed us the money back. He then gives me my refund(without the tax). I ask him where my bread is and I kid you not he looked me dead in the face and said he’s out of bread… My salad came without dressing. You’ve guys have had soo many years to fix it and you havent. Also the CHILD working the counter couldn’t of been older than 13. This was literally the worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had. $17 for the breadless, salad dressing less pasta and the container wasn’t even half way full. It’s crazy.
