I went there today for lunch and was VERY disappointed! not only the usual charging extra for every little thing; they have now reduced their portion sizes. The small burrito ($7) is now half the size…smh When I spoke to the cashier about it she tried to short talk me …smh…never again. I gave one star so i could post this or i would of gave none.

The owner of Salsarita’s gave a reply to my review; in which I appreciated. However, regarding the portion size. It is extremely smaller than usual; Salsarita’s was a go to for me and the office at least once or twice a week until the last visit. I have not been back. The shrinkage of the portion sizes is not acceptable and given the reply from the owner and the staff, this will be the norm. I will not pay the same price for half of what I was getting previously. I really am disappointed.

People in this “New Detroit” will like anything. I visited this place about a week ago and tried the Nachos. Decent amount for the price (more expensive than Qdoba nachos and not as tasteful). I decided to go back and get a burrito bowl and the amount I got for the price that was charged was unbelievable. I paid almost $8.00 for a chicken burrito bowl that was about a third of what Chipotle would give you and more expensive. I would be very cautious if you decide to go there; I will not be returning ever.

Yum! This place is delicious! Today was my first time trying Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill anddddd I am impressed. I’m not big on Mexican Food that isn’t authentic, but they come pretty close. I am also always scared that portion sizes will not be enough. I had the Chicken Bowl and added my toppings. I also got a bag of chips and queso; I love the fresh tortilla chips! The service was fast, so fast that I was having a hard time keeping up with them lol. Definitely will be my go too in the Renaissance when I forget my lunch like I did today!

Why is this place always so busy? Qdoba or chipotle are both way better. This place is terrible. Small portions, lowwwww quality, and high prices. I’m still hungry after the regular bowl. If ordered from chipotle I’d eat half.. Waste of money. By far the most disappointing lunch option in the RenCen. Run, run far, far far away from this place. Don’t let the lines fool you.

My absolute favorite dish is Quesadilla, and whenever I eat Mexican that’s what I always order, if it’s on the menu. And Quesadillas are on the Salsarita’s menu, well, sort of. You see, there’s a trend of interchangeability that seems to be going on in Mexican style restaurants and Tacos, Burritos, and Quesadillas are frequently pretty much the same thing except for a different tortilla. You can order a burrito or a taco at Salsarita and get the exact same stuff inside the different tortillas, so much for variety. My biggest complaint about Salsarita was the grossness factor; the cheese they use is, well, again, gross. Is that stuff cheese, or what? Same thing for some of the other stuff (ripe in a not exactly fresh from the vine way.) I guess the Salsarita management set the quality bar at McDonald’s and stopped there, plus for 10 bucks a large entrée (actually, looks medium) its a wee bit pricey.

Its great for Rencen. One of the best fast restaurants at the Rencen, but if your coming from somewhere else outside Rencen, then think of this like an off brand qdoba/chipotle, not great if you compare to them.

I love this location the best ! Very fast and they hook you up !! Fresh food always ! No complaints there . However , some of the staff should cheer up and fix their attitude since they are serving food to the general public
