The food was fantastic! I got the crab cakes with a Dijon dill sauce and it was delectable. My mom got the salmon with a pomegranate sauce which was also delicious! Wait staff was very friendly and prompt. The only tiny small negative thing was the acoustics in the restaurant made it fairly loud inside but I would 100% recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner. Worth every penny.

This was my first visit to Salt64, and I was very pleased. I ordered the bisque for an appetizer and 3 choices seafood combination of flounder, oysters, and shrimp. The bisque was creamy and delicious. The flounder was the freshest I’ve had in a long time, as were the oysters. My brother-in-law ordered the crack toast for an appetizer and shared with my sister and I. It was so good! My sister ordered the Salt Angel salad, and she shared a bite with me. That salad was loaded with goodies. The fact that they used red beets, and golden beets, was going the extra step in my opinion, and what helps to set Salt64 apart from the rest. It’s the small details, that make a big difference. The deliciousness is in the details. Salt64 does not skimp on portion size. The restaurant was packed, but never once were we made to feel rushed. Our server Brie was wonderful. She knew the menu, and she made us feel right at home. Salt64 has quickly become my top favorite restaurant here in Oak Island.

My recent visit to Salt64 offered a mixed dining experience. The Fried Flounder and Fried Shrimp were the highlights, impressively showcasing the kitchen’s culinary skills. However, the dry and flavorless wings and notably small portion sizes detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Furthermore, the food, regrettably, arrived just warm, leaning towards cold.

Visited 5 July, so it was pretty slammed; we waited 15 minutes for our table even though we had a booking and got put in a corner with folding chairs. The music was pretty loud and made it hard to hear anyone sitting at the table with you.

Amazing service and amazing food! Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. The crack toast appetizer is to die for, hands down a must order on the menu! The cherry pie martini was also amazing. The pan seared chicken with lemon caper risotto is probably the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. It was great that there are plenty of options on the menu for both seafood and non seafood – for those that don’t eat seafood – although others in our party had great things to say about the tuna and the lobster bisque. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, and I did not find the restaurant to be loud or hard to hear as another review stated, and we were there at a busy time on a Saturday night. This restaurant alone makes me want to come back to visit Oak Island! If you eat anywhere while visiting, this this is the place to go!

Wow this place was incredible. Everything we ate was so flavorful and delicious. The staff was so friendly and the service was great. We got the Jones’ platter and the KT’s chicken as entrees. We also ordered the baby lobster tail and the pork belly as appetizers and the Mac and cheese and seasonal veggies as sides. The veggies weren’t my favorite but it’s because they were heavy on rosemary. My son (1 year) loved the max and cheese. The jones’ platter seafood was so fresh; the flounder was flakey, the crab fritters were so full of crab and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The KT’s chicken was delicious. The risotto needed salt in my opinion but it was good. Overall an excellent meal.

What an amazing meal. It was so hard to pick an item. We had the artichoke, fried lobster tails and burrata as appetizers. We we’re ready to order a second round they were so good. I had the Grouper special which was amazing. We also had the pork osso buco which was tender and mouth watering. Save room for dessert.. the bread pudding and cheesecake were crazy good we took chocolate cake home . And I can’t forget to mention the service…..

While visiting OKI, we decided to try Salt 64 and celebrate our 22nd anniversary. Although this is not an “upscale” restaurant, the ambiance and atmosphere was magnificent.

Salt64 is one of the fancier restaurants on Oak Island and one of the nicest experiences. You’ll definitely want a reservation. Service was great – attentive and friendly but unobtrusive. The restaurant interior was lovely, albeit a little noisy.
