First off let me just say I’m a huge supporter when it comes to local restaurants, and I always give the benefit of the doubt. However, the food at Sam Sylks in Cleveland was horrible, to the point I ended up throwing mines away. I got the catfish nuggets combo, greens, Mac & cheese and German chocolate cake. First off, the fries were soggy and tasted stale.The catfish nuggets were tasteless and STILL had the skin on them. The Mac & cheese was decent, but we ordered 2 larges and the containers were barely filled halfway. Also, it tasted like they used nothing but velveeta cheese with a-little salt and pepper. I have to say the most disappointing part was the greens, I LOVE greens, the flavor was good however, it consisted more of stems then the leaves maybe that is someone’s cup of tea but not mine. And the German chocolate cake was dry, old, and crumbly. The most irritating part was that it was a dinner for my family and it cost us $80, the food quality was poor and was definitely not worth the money that was spent. Im not sure if they were having an off day or what but nonetheless I will NOT be coming back here again.

This has to be some of the nastiest food I’ve ever gotten. Only thing edible was the cole slaw. I’ve also never had greens that tasted so bland. More flavor in canned spinach. Hope we do not get sick. Fish tasted off. Wish I would have taken the bad reviews more seriously before I ordered.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I spent $100 here for dinner for my family, and everything was nasty. Literally everything. The chicken was old and soggy with no seasoning. The fish was dry and bland. The fries were old and unsalted. And the spaghetti was horrible. Everything was horrible. On top of that, when I called to complain I was told there was no manager there. I’m sure there was 3 minors working in there with no adult.

I will never go here again. The fish was soggy and the fries were soggy. It’s just best I cook my own food… they need me to cook and Season the food… Been cooking since I was 16. Learned from best…. my great aunts and aunts…

1st time at the Cleveland location ✴️Loved the live band. Took about 35 or more min to get our food But .. first time here at this location. Ordered chicken and waffles, “Why salad on the plate?” It just doesn’t work. Not a good portion of wings with either. Wife had the catfish which she enjoyed. Must say the other location near Akron Ohio is soooo much better food wise and less expensive prices

I give this place the standing ovation very clean restaurant, and customer service is great the young lady had no problem running down the delicious desserts they have to complete my meal . I had the 5 piece wing dinner , my wife had the perch dinner . The slaw is great when slaw was invented it was never meant to be too creamy the cole slaw here is excellent that highlights any dinner . I’ve ate at the Euclid location a couple times and food was great their as well . We desperately needed a chicken fish spot on the west side . Right in the plaza on Memphis Fulton . Mr Sylk takes pride in his restaurants check it out folks.

had the chicken tenders and waffle. was an enjoyable meal and i am thankful google maps found me another great place. the tenders were cooked well but a bit dry. i would rather have a well cooked meal that doesnt get me sick over an undercooked meal anyday but as a culinary enthusiast the dryness is a slight deduction. i will try fish next time.

Have been there twice spent almost 50 dollars every time and both times my order was incomplete and the fish did not taste the same as the first. I ordered fish and they did not send tartar sauce and forgot my extra Mac and cheese twice. The workers are very unfriendly and do not greet you when you enter. I will not go back.

I tried the waffles at the Sam Sylk’s Chicken And Fish and they were good. The service was less so the young lady was friendly but the communication fell apart. We put our order in the young lady told us a couple minutes, we came back several minutes later to our order not being ready. the lady greeted us told us a couple minutes no big deal. she goes to the kitchen puts our waffles on then proceeds to use her phone, checked the schedule, and take an order. The other kitchen staff oblivious to the order continue making other orders and door dash orders. 17 minutes pass the lady returns to the register to get a copy of our order, our 4 item order then ask for the receipt because she cannot find it. at that point we get them the receipt and being no longer friendly till the order was done and we leave. I have no problem with things going wrong but someone needs to take responsibility and get a solution working as quickly as possible. had we walked back in the young lady sad something went wrong can we get your receipt and we will get you your order done as fast as we can i would have had no problem waiting.
