If I could rate Sami’s higher I would. First time in this afternoon and I will definitely be back. Excellent customer service, food was hot, fresh, fast, delicious, and portions generous. Today I tried the 4 piece fish with hush puppies and red beans/rice. Also tried the fried okra appetizer. I can not wait to try more of their menu.

Great sea food dinner! Our lunch meal was special, well prepared and spiced just right. The Gumbo was extra special. Shrimp was in the top five I’ve eaten anywhere. Crab cakes to die for! Having said all this the atmosphere could be improved by adding lots of sound absorbing materials. Table talk by loud folks carries too well in the room. Also the plastic serving containers need attention. These folks are new and I know they will address these issues soon. I highly recommend Sami’s.

Simple little place with good food. Family owned and very kind. The Gumbo is very good. The breading on the shrimp is southern style with just a hint of spice. Chicken strips are meaty. Fish has big portions. Makes his own style tarter sauce. They have Pepsi products to drink. They make these delicious rolls with the gumbo meal but if they have enough you can substitute one for a side. If you ask very nicely the owner brings in his own honey and will share a little for you to dip your roll (insider secret). Love this little gem and recommend highly!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Ordered carry out on line – no issues with the ordering system or picking up. I had the Fried Green Tomatoes and they were the best I ever had. I also had fish & shrimp – both amazing. Even the cocktail and tartar sauces were very good. For my sides, I got corn and the red beans & rice, which are in the fridge because I ate too much. Highly recommend!

We had two baskets…. One was oysters and the other was 3 pc shrimp/crab cakes/fish with sides of hush puppies (Amazing), French fries, red beans and rice (GREAT) and green beans (ALSO GREAT)…. Crab cakes were my fave with the fish coming in for a close second. Fried to absolute perfection and they came out HOT! (That’s a Good thing!) Our bellies were full and we had some leftovers to take home. Staff (owners) were VERY personable, friendly and kind…. We interacted with both men while we were there and it’s very clear the pride they take in their business/food/service. You can tell it really matters to them…. We will be back. Hubby commented on how much he liked it several times on the way home 🙂 Dining room was average, but it was clean and bright so no real issues there. Good stuff!! I’m sorry we didn’t take any pictures!!

Owners were very friendly and helped us through the menu selection since this was our first visit. We were very happy with everything. I had the shrimp and catfish. Both were perfectly prepared. It came with 2 sides and I chose green beans which were cooked and seasoned very nicely, plus coleslaw which was cold, crunchy, and delicious. My husband had gizzards. They were cooked just right, a generous portion. His sides were green beans and red beans and rice. All very good.

The food was excellent. The customer service was even better. The co-owner even brought out samples of gumbo for us to try. We had fish, chicken, hush puppies, green beans, fries and sweet tea. Everything was seasoned well. The ice water even had a fresh lemon. Very refreshing. Will come again.

We went early to beat the dinner rush but it was already in full swing! Grab a table & menu then order at the front counter. They bring your food out pipping hot! Their cornmeal breaded fish fillets were really good & the large shrimp. I used malt vinegar but their sauces have a unique spin – gotta try them! We’re going back soon.
