Never should need A1 for a $48 steak, but this had no flavor except the burnt taste on grill marks. No butter, salt/pepper, garlic, herbs… nothing! Baked potato had crispy (dark, burnt on) cheese. Terrible food. Couldn’t finish anything except the shrimp scampi appetizer, which was delicious.

This is my husband’s and my favorite restaurant to go in Rifle for date night. The food is delicious, the service is always friendly and professional, and the cocktails are creative & tasty. We love crawfish boil & fresh oyster Wednesdays with live music and the holiday buffets are a real treat. Definitely do yourself the favor and get dinner here!

I have not been here when there is the normal menu, however I went for St. Patrick’s day and was greatly impressed. The corned beef was done perfectly, the potatoes and carrots were delicious, and the salad options were great as well. In addition, there were drink specials. The wait-staff is obviously well trained and they are quite pleasant.

I used to live in Rifle and like to stop in when I come back to visit family. The liver and onions was ordered “medium rare” but was well done. The cheesy garlic bread has way too much cheese on top that you can’t really remove without taking all the garlicky goodness with it. But the brisket Mac n cheese is TO DIE FOR! It’s so good that I plan to try and duplicate it at my house next week. I took the leftover Mac n cheese to my Dad while I was there and he wanted more! We ordered cocktails that were spot on and very good. We heard someone complaining about the size of their glass and the price and maybe they don’t get out much because a $13-$17 cocktail is not un-heard-of in many places in the US. Our server made a little mistake forgetting my iced tea for too long but she was super apologetic and took it off the bill plus she seemed a little new and was quite busy and we always try to understand things like that. Rifle needs a fine dining option like Sammy’s and I hope they continue to stay open for years to come!

Service is great but this is one of those places where the decor is better than the food. The appetizers were fine but the main entrees were just tired and bland. I got the Colorado Lamb which was a little over 40 dollars, so I found it ridiculous when I could only choose one side because they’re so cheap they would rather just throw you some bland mixed veggies for one side and then let you choose the other. I also got lobster tail as an add on which was 28 bucks by itself and it was so dry it tasted like a rubber bullet. We also bought the seafood stuffed chicken breast which was all over the place. The chicken breast had cleary been split in half with only one half of it being served and they basically dumped a mix of crab meat, shrimp and sauce on the bottom layer, the half chicken breast on top and poured some sauce over it. It was gross. The steak was bland, sides were bland. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The only food that tasted good was the loaded baked potato. The cheesecake tasted like plain cream cheese.

Walked right out! The food sucked. My boyfriend and I ordered two completely different cuts of steak. You could barely cut it, let alone chew it. The mashed potatoes had zero flavor and had probably been sitting there for hours in the back. The veggies were ok, but no flavor… we’re just going to sonic for a big juicy burger! The waitress was amazing, and definitely not her fault. But if I’m gonna pay that amount of money for a meal, it has to at least be reasonably edible.

Was good at first me and my wife were there on our seventeenth wedding anniversary the food was great the waitress told us that we could have dessert for free for our anniversary there policy well after we got our food we seen our waitress at the bar and every where else took her forty five minutes to come back then we were told we could not have our dessert to go that if we wanted it we had to have it there then I paid the same waitress and I guess she thought all the money was hers for the tip so after waiting five minutes for my change while she kept her back turned to us we left good food not so good service would not recommend it to anyone else
