One of the coolest restaurants I have ever been too! I’ve gone here every year since I’ve been out to Aspen. Great place to stop and relax in the middle of a ski day. I would definitely suggest making reservation though! Reviews of the mountain are amazing in the atmosphere is so cool.

Another amazing meal at Sam’s! We came here for the first time in 2021 and revisited in Feb of 2023. Sam’s is luxury on the slopes… you are welcomed with a warm fireplace, high vaulted ceilings and their “slipper service” giving your feet a much needed break. This spot has some of Aspen’s dreamiest views making it the perfect place for a break from a day’s skiing. The food is delicious and the wine list is extensive. Highly recommend to make reservations. Get the special pizza – You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back.

Had a soup and salad for lunch. Delicious! Server and host were very gracious. Best of all there is a ‘slipper room’ where you leave your snow gear and can put on some comfy wool slippers while you lunch!

The food was SO good, the service was amazing, and we sat right by the window so we had a view of the mountain as high as the clouds. It was very cool, and we didn’t need a reservation – we arrive at 11:45ish. Highly recommend! I wish I could’ve stayed for more, but had to keep in mind that we had to ski back down.

I ordered the Linguine and Clam sauce. Sam’s is supposed to be an Italian focused restaurant. This dish was possibly the worst thing I have ever been served. Mushy pasta. Couldn’t really taste garlic, clams or wine in the sauce. It was very watery. There were steamed little neck clams on the top. They were ok. If they were overcooked that would have been a total fail. Someone in the kitchen messed up. The idea of peppers in the sauce was a good idea, but unfortunately, was the only real flavor to the sauce. That made it even more strange.
