Giving this 5 stars JUST for how crispy the food was. Totally lives up the name. I don’t know what they put in that seasoning for the fries, but it was so bomb. Also the truffle ketchup was *chef’s kiss* perfect. I got the original chicken sandwich. *Not pictured* I also got fried pickles and they were crispy, crunchy, and delicious. 10/10 recommend and would go again. This is strictly for the Santa Monica location- I went to the Costa Mesa location afterwards and it was much lower quality.

I ordered ahead of time, and my food wasn’t ready until 30 minutes after the stated time. Some people who arrived after me and ordered after me got their food before me. The food was pretty good though (the coating on the chicken was maybe the thickest and crispiest coating I’ve ever encountered on a piece of fried chicken, which was what I wanted).

I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with waffle fries, my hubby had the cowboy burger with thin fries and salted peanut butter shake. The food was fresh, flavor was great and the best part was the service! Great job guy! The truffle ketchup was sooooo good too… yum.

Incompetent service and really bad food. I had a pick up order that said it was ready online but the staff said it was not ready. Ended up waiting over 30 minutes at the restaurant even though it said it was ready. I was then initially given the wrong order for a different restaurant within Umami burger. I had to go back inside and wait again. I was then given another order that was labeled with the correct receipt for my Sam’s Crispy chicken order but what do you know when I checked inside the bag it was SUSHI from Kumi, another restaurant that operates out of the same space. I had to return that order while the staff looked for my order. The staff just looked confused and did not know what had happened. They were so confused they did not even take time to apologize or say sorry once.

Very very very sooo good beef burgers. The address takes you to a fried chicken restaurant, but they don’t cook chicken, just beef burgers. One of the best in the area.
