Small local sandwich shop…. Have to say the sandwich is very different then a sub/grinder from other locations but absolutely delicious! Lot was good sized and easy entrance/exit for our trailer. Delicious smell hits you as you walk in and try an Italian the way they make it! I had turkey Italian, husband had a roast beef Italian. Both were super fresh, great rolls and filling. Can’t wait to come back!

I stopped in for a kids pizza and a chef salad. The salad was not fresh. They grabbed it from a cooler and added a slice of ham and American cheese. For $11 I’d expect something edible. I couldn’t even eat it. The lettuce was brown and it tasted like it had been sitting for way too long. Very disappointed.

Sam’s used to be a favorite of mine growing up. I’ve loved Sam’s going back 35yrs now but the food and service has just gone so far downhill.. I’m done cutting them slack because I liked the food growing up. Over the past 3-4 years they just consistently dissapoint. Everytime. The 17yr olds running the place nowadays could care less. The prices have increased while their quality has decreased. I wish I had something nice to say but I just don’t.

Went in earlier this week for work , not only was my Italian perfect, but she loaded that thing ! And the cute elderly lady at register was hilarious. I love when people can have a sense of humor with the customers while still being professional. The employees were killin it back there and laughing.. the manager must be doing something right. Keep it up guys you’re appreciated:)

We ordered $60 in five sandwiches. I warned it was a long phone order, and was very slow and specific. She sounded very rushed and inattentive. We are not local, Auburn /Pownal. Just happened to be in their area. One sandwich was not put in the bag. Another was made wrong. Upon calling to notify, Janie very rudely put the phone down and loudly wrinkled paper into the phone for a minute. Then said we could pick up the order. No apology, no nothing. Never ever again. Go to the Sam’s in Auburn. Much more professional.

I eat here once a month or so, I tend to always have something special to the order. This time was spaghetti and meatball calzone with light sauce. Too much sauce equals heart burn from hell lol. This one was prepared and cooked perfectly. Delicious and hit the spot, thank you.
