Cole slaw was very good. Huge portions of entrees. Chickens fried perfectly but we’re a bit salty but still enjoyable. 2 friends had fried fish and 1 grilled fish. Everyone said their meals were delicious! Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend and will go back to try the grilled fish.

I enjoyed the fried oysters (despite being 90% breading, you CAN taste the oyster in there!) and the flavor of the fish was okay but it is definitely some cheap fish that is far tougher than catfish. I had a grilled fillet and a fried fillet; fried is definitely the way to go because the grilled was way too greasy. The breading is awesome, super crunchy and flavorful.

I’m from New Orleans and the waitress stated that this place stared in Louisiana and is now a franchise. Well, this location, at least, was a truly mediocre eatery. The aesthetic looks about like a fast food location, and it was probably converted from a place that was built for fast food. The prices do not fit the value or the portions. You the top tier items come with fries and the others come with your choice of 2 side. If you get grilled, no matter where it shows and no matter what you get, it’s an extra 1 dollar surcharge. I was surprised to hear this when the only thing that was applicable on my plate to be grilled was 3 shrimp, 1 dollar price to grill 3 shrimp. So I got fried, 3 fried shrimp and 3 crab cakes with 2 sides for 15.50. My wife got a Philly cheese steak and fries for 12.50. Her food was so much better. My macaroni and cheese was bland and my hush puppies and cakes were not a great mixture. Her fries were tasty and crisp, and the Philly was nice also. Who knew that this sort of place had a better Philly than fried seafood? Meh, I wouldn’t go again on my own accord. I might give another location a go, but probably not.

Wonderful home style restaurant. My husband loves the fish and he usually dislikes fish. Prices are a little high but so worth it! Food is so good , soft southern folk and blues playing in the background creates a very laid back atmosphere. And they have gumbo!!!

I called to place a take out order, was asked to hold, after 20 minutes of listening to the girl who answered the phone goof off with other employees while I attempted to scream into the phone to get her attention I hung up and called back so far 28 times, the phone is still off the hook and at this point it’s been almost an hour. My dad requested this as dinner and he never asks for anything specific so I’m so extremely disappointed but I sent someone there to go up and place the order then wait on it but this is BEYOND RIDICULOUS
