It’s pretty much fried everything here. The fish and the green tomatoes had a decently flavored breading, the rest were not good. The mac & cheese was a peppery surprise. The red beans and rice was the best dish we had. Smokey and flavorful.

Love this place! I had dinner here 2 weeks ago on Sunday, and it was GREAT! I had fried catfish & shrimp with a side of red beans and rice. I highly recommend this place. It was immaculately clean with very friendly service. My iced tea never got close to being empty. Next time through Emporia I will make this my lunch or dinner stop. The owner came out and asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I appreciate great food plus outstanding service.

Took my mom here for her birthday along with the rest of my family. For starters we ordered the fried Green Tomatoes and mushrooms. Very fresh and the batter had an amazing crunch. For our main dishes it was fried fish, oysters, shrimp, hush puppies, crab cakes. All was extremely flavorful. On top of all that we ordered mac and cheese with red beans and rice awesome. My father ordered the 12oz ribeye and was very tender and piled high with grill onions.. Finding good seafood is very hard to come by but will definitely come back to try there Philly steak sandwich. In the end friendly staff and amazing comfort food.

This place is AMAZING!!! Large Jumbo Grilled Shrimp that is outa this world! I love their fried shrimp & fish. But the grilled may be better?? Cole Slaw was excellent. Love the hush puppies & red beans & rice. New Desert tonight Cherry or Apple Cobbler. They are giving it free tonight to Veterans! It gets better everything I come. My tea was never empty…GREAT SERVICE !

We were a bit hesitant to try here because of the mixed reviews, but we went ahead. We are glad we did. The cheese sticks for the appetizer were delicious, fried just right. Husband ordered the #43, fish and chicken with red beans and rice and French fries. I ordered the shrimp po boy which came with fries. We were also offered a sample of the gumbo. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! I thought it was a bit pricey when we first looked at the menu, but then I saw what you get for the price. We took over half of our meals home. Will definitely be returning. Oh yeah…waitstaff was great, very friendly.

Good food, good value. The fried pickles are great, and the shrimp batter is really good. The fish is ok. My family loved the green beans and red beans and rice. The waitress was also super great. Overall great experience!
