I was passing through and staying at a local Motel. Always like to try the local restaurants when I’m on the road. So I pulled up doordash and seen Sam’s. Made an order but no Dasher picked up the order, so I ran down there myself. Nice people behind the counter. I had the fish Po Boy and peach pie. Catfish and Shrimp were good but order take out so you don’t have to see how dirty it is inside. We were the only customers at the time so we got to choose a table that wasn’t covered in crumbs and spilled sauce. Waitress never lifted a finger to clean any tables while we were there. Too bad they don’t keep it clean because that restaurant style would do well in Western Oklahoma.

The cashier was on the phone while taking my order, the back door to the restaurant was wide open, and flies were everywhere. (I think i interrupted the cook’s smoke break.) The glass doors and windows were in need of some windex.

It’s a good place to try your favorite seafood. I love the sea food here. Chicken strips are also delicious. Chicken grilled philly sandwich is good. Best part is their Sam’s sauce. Catfish is delicious here. They can do however we want either grilled or fried. I think they are little greasy but they are tasty and yummy shrimp is . Give it a try if u love seafood. Their coleslaw is on of the best I ever had and their hush puppies are savoury.

I popped into this nondescript place on a whim. Great Cajun food! I had the fish and shrimp, both were cooked perfectly. I order a side of fried pickles and it was HUGE! More than enough for two or three people. My only complaint is that things were a bit too salty, but that’s it, loved it otherwise. Thanks!

If you are going to or through Clinton, eat at Sam’s all the locals do. We had some of the best southern fried catfish and hush puppies that beat out some of the top restaurants in Chicago. Kudos to the chef and hats off to the nicest waitress we met on the road thus far:)!

Grilled shrimp was good, po-boy was good but. The steak was dry and over done and very thin like carne asada . When ordered medium rare ….. that was disappointing considering the price. It would be better if it was a real surf and turf. Thick steak is a must and then it’ll be spot on. Service was a little shabby, but lady was nice. I wouldn’t recommend steak eaters to go here but grilled shrimp and chicken was to my likings. Maybe cheaper prices or better steak. Rice and beans eh. Beans were okay but the rice was not the business

Enjoyed our lunch/supper. Had shrimp and catfish. Good breading and not greasy. Loved the tarter sauce, had a kick to it. Reminded of food we ate when we were in Mississippi.
