I ordered food to go, I ordered the 3 shrimp/3 Chicken strips meal with fries and green beans, I also ordered 3 crab cakes and red beans for my husband. The shrimp was delicious, nice and meaty, perfectly seasoned and battered shrimp! The fries and green beans were great as well! The crab cakes were a bust, however, crispy shell on the outside, mushy crab flavored meat on the inside, no texture, no chunks of crab, I am guessing the meat was imitation crab meat? My husband ate only one of the 3 ordered. He thought the red beans and rice was delicious, I’m glad I ordered the larger side of this.

I was very excited to eat her but I’m sorry the fish was not okay, the shrimp was great and I loved the slaw and fries. I was disappointed and hopefully will have a better time next time I try again. The service was alright and the place could have used some Lysol and the trash dumped..

As someone who doesn’t like Fast or fried food, this is the one place I make an exception for. The food is great, (personally, I love getting either the wings or the Philly cheese stakes), and the workers are great people. The atmosphere is nice and the furniture gives me homely vibes.

Got the 3 fish 3 crab cakes and 3 shrimp meal. Shrimp was overcooked that could be because I ordered take put. The fish and crab cakes were cooked great. The crab cakes leav mutch to be desired as there isn’t a lot of “crab” in them and tasted nothing like crab. The hush puppies, fried okra, and mushrooms were great! Their tarter sauce was too sweet for me but others may like it.

So, I’ve been here a couple of times. Wanting it to be delicious. The first time i had catfish and shrimp. Was disappointed with it. Seemed like they needed to clean the grease it was fried in. It was dark and overly oily. The second time i went i got the shrimp poboy. It wasn’t the best one I’ve had but definitely want the worst either. That poboy is what made me decide to give Sam’s one more try. I went today and got the fried mushrooms, and a 1lb crawfish boil. The mushrooms were good. The crawfish was very bland and fishy tasting. Ive had my fair share of crawfish in my life. I lived in Louisiana for almost 10 years. And i knew that it wouldn’t be that same as it was there. But , even the boil liquid has next to no flavor. The seasoning the pot on the crawfish after the cook is really good. But the deep fried sausage that comes with it was not. If your billing the crawfish why not cook the shrimp and sausage in the boil as well. It would only add flavor. Anyways, I feel that it’s not a bad place ingeneral but to say it’s a cajun place… Well it’s not that. Nothing about this restaurant days cajun except there sign. It rather disappointing for myself. Because i was desperately looking forward to having a cajun restaurant here. And i really wanted it to be so good. But it’s simply adequate fried foods.
