It was busy! They were pumping out delicious food as fast as it could be prepared. It was expected for a Saturday evening. This was our first time eating at The Eatery and there were lots of choices for restaurants and foods. As macaroni and cheese lovers, it was a pretty easy choice. The macaroni was cooked very well. I don’t like mushy macaroni. The cheese was also very good. It had a rich taste and seemed like at least 3 types of cheese. There were nice size pieces of chicken in mine. The chicken was good meat. It was breaded chicken but not overly breaded. My wife had shrimp and sausage in hers. I tried a piece of the sausage and thought it was very delicious. It also has a strong taste. In a food way. It will be hard to try someplace else now that we’ve tasted the food here.

Absolute mastery of their craft. Big meaty wings, flavoravle sauces, gargantuan amount of soul poured into the grits and mac and cheese, and all budget friendly. Truly a culinary triumph as well as a demographic triumph. Great food great atmosphere. We are definitely life long customers!!!!!!!

This is a black family own pub ran by a husband & wife. Service was amazing. Food was made to order & delicious. I was told occasionally they offer delivery service & catering as well.

Love, love the location in Element Eatery! When a place has shrimp and grits, I HAVE to try them, and the “Kitty Bowl” did not disappoint. The wings are also amazing, as are the desserts.

This restaurant is my favorite place in element eatery. The meech bowl or aunt bae bowl with added beef sausage are excellent. Can’t go wrong with the wings either. 5 stars with great service everytime.

They have the absolute worst customer service. The food is not even that good for the service to be so bad. The lady with the glasses constantly has an attitude. It’s not worth your business. For some good wings and great customer service go to Catch Me if You Can in Oakley Kitchen! Black owned too.

The San Jeanetta’s food stall needs to get more organized. I ordered a bowl of Mac and cheese with a “deconstructed salmon croquette” which translated to chunks a of salmon, raw red onion and a few croutons. They need to be more straightforward about the food and be more efficient. I waited 40 minutes for a pretty underwhelming dish. Side note: Element Eatery is very cool and well worth the visit.

I’m not one to typically share a negative review but after the 4th negative experience here, last night being the worst to date, I think it’s time. The restaurant was out of the particular side I had ordered. After waiting for 20 minutes I received a phone call telling me they were out of that particular side and to return to the counter. Upon returning to the counter, I’m immediately met with attitude from the restaurant employee. She continued to act extremely rude and annoyed about me having to choose a replacement side. I chose the replacement and inquired about status of the remainder of my order and was told the entire thing was “put on hold”, at that point and had not begun preparing yet. I then asked for a refund because I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for my food was assured it would only be 5-10 minutes at most. Ok, I’ll wait. After 15 minutes I hear the employee say “Mam, your food is ready” I look up only to be met with attitude once again as the employee snaps at me, “I wasn’t talking to you” after another 5 minutes I receive a text message telling me my food is ready (20 minutes after choosing the replacement side, 45 minutes after originally ordering) I walk to the counter, tell the employee my order is ready, only to be snapped at once again saying “I already told you, your food isn’t ready” after waiting another 10 minutes I see my food placed in the window. The employee doesn’t give me my food, instead proceeds to wait on and bag up 3-4 other orders (that were all placed while I waited for my children’s food). After about 5-10 minutes of looking at my food in the window I walked over to the counter to ask for it and was yelled at about “respecting her” and getting it when she was ready to give it to me. I again asked for a refund, at this point the facility manager got involved, gave me my food, apologized profusely and issued a refund. From placing my order, to actually receiving the food was 1 hour and 10 minutes and at least 3 inappropriate, unprofessional interactions with the employee. I can confidently say that after last nights experience, I will not be returning to San Jeanetta’s table. Element Eatery is a great establishment with too many other great restaurant options to tolerate being treated this way.

Got the Flamin’ Donna May Bowl and corn bread and both were the best in their respective categories that I have ever had. Highly recommend both (if you like spicy) and going for the cornbread after the spice is the perfect way to cool off. Definitely will be returning
