So we arrived Saturday with a party of 13. The place was empty no on at the tables so with said we imagined that service would be quick and food & drinks flowing….NOT! I live in NY & I guess they have spoiled me. We 1st had to arrange the tables to fit everyone the gave some help but then the little guys left & never returned. We all sat looking at the menus & was ready to order but no one was there at our table although we did see them walking around or tending to things. Finally Fredrico came over & ask Whom should he start with? We pointed out the person & shifted to another area of the table. So we all looked up like you didn’t get our orders or finish the table. So he continued at that table then came back to us..lol. Any way we got our mixed drinks & hurried to let him know we need to place orders now. Things just seem to drag with an empty place…Fredrico was very nice & should hve asked for another waiter to help out. Long story short food was on point & hot. Hubby & I shared a plate and itvwas plenty..Looking 4ward to returning in the future visit…Shout out to Fredrico you did well…

I placed an online order through their website for my family to pick up on the way home. The estimated time was 20 minutes. When I got there, 30 minutes later, the hostess walked back to the back cash register, printed off a ticket and walked into the kitchen. She returned a few minutes later and informed me that they would have my food ready in 20-25 minutes. I explained that I placed the order 35 minutes ago and it should already be ready. She advised me very matter of factly that the online orders do not print out on their own and no one checked the online orders and they would now start on it. I cancelled the order and left. They still charged my credit card $114 for the food they never prepared. I sent an email with no response and on a phone call they advised they cannot find my order…. pathetic service

We decided to come here to celebrate one of our girls’ 14th birthday before playing laser tag. The environment and server were both fantastic. We all really enjoyed our lunches and the options. They had a few vegetarian options for me and quite a few gluten free choices as well. Overall, it’s definitely a place we’ll be back to again whenever we’re in the area.

Was made aware of this location by a friend who is from Mexico and loved the Shallotte location. It did not disappoint. The place has very nice interior and a large outdoor space. The complementary chips came out warm. The menu is being refactored but authentic traditional specialties like the Chile Colorado I had are still orderable – and delicious. I’ve said before authenticity is difficult to quantify, but certainly on several dimensions this place has it. Give it a try!
