We have not eaten here in a while and decided to stop in. The food was as good as we remembered and chips was salty. We tried the queso dip and loved it with the salsa on chips. We had flan for dessert which was very creamy with cinnamon on top – not too sweet to finish our meal. The frozen drinks were not strong but fruit flavor was good. We will probably skip those in the future or get a small only for the price. This restaurant is a little more expensive than some Mexican places but worth it. The service is very good and they don’t rush you through your meal. It’s also beautiful inside. They have a lot of booths – less tables in case you need a chair. I will definitely eat here again.

Didn’t like the taco supremes because the ground beef was bland. The guacamole salad was missing sour cream. I had to pay an extra $1.29 for it. The chorizo dip was amazing. The salsa was very flavorful. The pollo ranchero was great. The strawberry margarita was exactly what I needed! I ordered a medium but was charged for a jumbo… the waiter tried to explain that medium and jumbo were the same although there is a $3 difference, so I deducted it from his tip.

The 4.3 rating is baffling to me. I’ve been to another San Jose location and loved it. We came to this one since it was closer but I won’t do that again. The service was horrible. I wish I could give it no stars. The carnitas were extremely dry with jerky like texture. They only get like that sitting out in the air. I’m not confident in the safety of the kitchen. The rice and beans were cold. I’m appalled and whoever owns San Jose needs to take a close look at this location.
