We’ve been meaning to try Sand Trap for over a year, and after our first visit, we had to come back the next week. After Lucky Brewgrille in Mission closed, we’d been searching for a place that served affordable and awesome steaks, and we finally found it. Aside from the KC Strip, we also had the cheeseburger (not the best in KC–Walsh’s Corner Cocktails owns that honor–but very good), chicken wings (great), tacos (nothing fancy, cheap, decent), and homemade chips (awesome). The ambiance is friendly and fun, as is the service. You can tell that the regulars here love the food and staff. Two minor complaints, not enough to knock off a star: both time we visited, the men’s room was out of paper towels; and the parking lot is very dark.

What a fabulous spot!! We got excellent service and food! It was our 1st time dining there, and they navigated my daughters tree nut allergy very confidently. Their confidence makes our experience enjoyable, so we appreciate it.

We visited Sand Trap Bar & Grill in the middle of the afternoon and our service was excellent. We had a fairly large group that included some vegetarian, and everybody was very pleased with the food. Our server was super nice and attentive to our needs.

Burgers were all like charcoal briquettes despite only asking for one to be medium well to well done. No lettuce or tomatoes, just a few limp pickle slices. Food took a long time. Server was good about refilling drinks.

Had a company Christmas party here. Boss had Sand Trap provide the food, big mistake! Very disappointing, luckily we had good friends to enjoy the evening with. Waitress was very attentive and sweet, at least we had drinks!
