The iconic Sandbar Seafood & Spirits has been serving locals and visitors to Anna Maria Island for 40+ years. Located on the beach, diners can experience unencumbered views of the Gulf sunsets while dining on a variety of seafood, authentic Florida cuisine, and other culinary creations while their feet are in the sand and a cold drink in their hand.
The restaurant is heavily focused on sustainability and utilizing fresh local ingredients including those items grown on our local organic farm.
While the restaurant does not accept reservations, you can wait on the beach taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean which is all a part of the Sandbar experience.

This restaurant is perfect in many ways, but the most important thing for me was the service, the waiter Cassy, he was great, so patient. As a tourist doesn’t speak fluent English, sometimes people don’t have patience, and we feel bad and lower, but he insisted on explaining everything, every doubt had about the menu, he even gave me some tips that I asked in English, seriously he was amazing.

Great service by Lauren who even provided food samples however my wife’s fish was overcooked and tasted like the oil needed to be changed in the fryer. That being said. My octopus was super delicious and so was the calamari. The view is spectacular and unbeatable anywhere else. Go treat yourself to this gem for sure

This was our first visit to this restaurant and our overall experience was great. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and very tasty and while I was the only one who ordered a hamburger the other members in our party all ad sea food and loved it. The views of the sunset are amazing.

We came here based on recommendations and the good reviews as well as being literally on the beach which what I was looking for but I was really disappointed with the food. We ordered clam chowder soup that was blunt with no flavor was kind of cold. For the entrees We ordered the fried shrimp which had like 8 of them tasted fresh but not special and the shrimp and grits unfortunately wasn’t great, shrimp had too much salt and peppers

The food here was incredible! Beth was a super attentive and friendly server. The views of the sunset while we ate are unrivaled. Go early and prepare to wait. Get some drinks at the bar on the beach. It’s worth the wait. Super management and food.

One of the best locations for a restaurant possible! Unfortunately because of this there’s a disregard for quality and service… food is comparable to a bottom shelf corporate restaurant like Applebees but twice the price. Menu is limited and management doesn’t care whether you enjoy your meal or not because there’s a line at the door simply for the location. So… come here for the location, don’t expect good food. Or better yet, bring a folding table and set it up on the beach right next to the tables here. Bring your own food take-out from a place that actually has good food and enjoy the same location for half the price. The beach is public

My husband and I just got married at The Sandbar and WOW. To start, this location was absolutely perfect for a wedding. We had our ceremony right on the sand and reception right at The Sandbar which was so easy. We received compliment after compliment on the buildings/location itself. The team that helped in planning along the way was amazing! Their communication with us was perfect from day 1 which is beyond helpful when you live states away. Our day of coordinator (Bailey) was the best! All of the food was out of this world, everybody loved it! If you’re considering getting married on the island, do it & do it here!! Cannot recommend them enough.
