Didn’t have ribs when they opened. Ordered 2 meat (Chicken/brisket) with fries. Service was a bit slow, food was decent though. Chicken was smoked great, brisket was moist and very flavorful. I thought the fries were good but, could definitely use some type of seasoning. My coworker enjoyed her food too. Price was OUTRAGEOUS though. Definitely not really worth what we paid. I believe for my SMALL portion of brisket, SMALL 1/4 chicken, fries, and drink I paid $24 which is insane.

This is a great mom and pop spot. Order at the counter and take a seat. The ladies will bring your order out once it’s completed. We had the pork fries to start. The Mac n cheese is better than anybody’s in historic savannah. The pulled pork and sliced brisket was tasty. Will definitely be back next time I drive through the area. Fairly priced for large portions.

Moved here from Asheville — 12 Bones, Haywood Smokehouse turf– Sandfly is absolutely amazing and takes me back to the mountains. The subtle smoke flavor, the melting in the mouth tenderness, the sides and the price is why I always go to Sandfly. I love this place, thanks for your passion for quality BBQ.

Been all over the world and this is some of the best BBQ I’ve had. Outstanding food and the sauces are all great compliments to the perfectly cooked meats. Don’t even need them (you’ll want to fill up on sausage, chicken and brisket) but the fries are homemade and as good as you’ll find anywhere. Do the right thing and get a Hog Wild platter!

Sandfly offers their Savannah style BBQ as z cross between Memphis and Carolina styles. Both sweet and vinegar sauces are offered. The ribs are great although the sauce is slathered across them. The pulled chicken was a touch dry but well prepared. The pulled pork was straight from Memphis, and that’s a good thing. The sausage has notes of Jimmy Dean links, but if it is, it’s the best prepared version of Jimmy Dean you’ll eat. Sandfly is worth a stop, especially for the ribs.

We have been coming to this establishment since they opened in Sandfly. The service is usually impeccable and the food is delicious. Tonight was a horrible experience. The young lady at the counter was rude, uninterested in greeting us and annoyed she had to take our order. My beans were cold and when I nicely went up to ask if they could heat them up, she rolled her eyes and abruptly walked off. I asked her why she was being so rude and unfriendly and explained I only wanted my food to be hot. She mumbled sorry under her breath. I’m not sure if they have new owners or what, but we won’t be going back. If you’re having a bad day maybe assume someone else has, too. It takes nothing to be kind. We are so disappointed.

You HAVE TO come here! Great food, this is my families second time coming in 3 years from Oregon. Get the 1/2 brisket and half Pulled Pork, figure out your sauce (vinegar,ketchup or mustard based) and enjoy. Honestly, this should be a bigger restaurant chain.

Excellent chopped brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Potato salad and beans sides were good, too. We were too late for sliced brisket but the chopped was outstanding and reflective of someone who really knows how to smoke meats.

Was in the area recently and from the reviews… this looked like exactly what I was looking for. I wanted BBQ and Sandfly BBQ didn’t disappoint. Looks like something out of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! The staff was helpful, polite and made great recommendations! I got the 2 meat combo with pulled pork and brisket. Each had some burnt ends which were tasty! For sides I went with potatoe salad and Brunswick stew which was amazing! Everything was spot on! They have 3 sauces to choose from – sweet, spicy and mustard base and I used them all! This was definitely some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a while. Will be back!
