Our Happy-Go-Lucky Life
This was our first time trying the restaurant in Cheltenham and was pleased with the experience. We had House Special Pan Fried Noodles and Pineapple Fried Rice. The fried rice was okay—pineapple fried rice always felt gimmicky to me—the pan-fried noodles were amazing! Great flavor and texture that the gravy coating the dish enhanced both. The roast pork wasn’t too sweet (of which I’m a fan as I think meat shouldn’t taste like candy) and the noodles had a good chew and a nice crunch. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal at a modest price. If you’re in the neighborhood, check out Sangkee; you won’t be disappointed.

Hello well hate to write this but I my favorite meal as always? Never had a problem until now. It delivered to me with no plum sauce I Love my plum sauce with my duck, so I ate my duck dry. It was terrible. I guess I won’t be ordering online again

The food and the service was absolutely amazing. The staff are so nice and hopeful. I had the fried crispy flounder with a creamy Walnut sauce who would have even put those two together it was delicious. The shrimp are the best I’ve ever had no fillers all shrimp and the shrimp dumpling soup was amazing as well. My first time having Dim sum and it was awesome will definitely be returning and it’s BYOB

This place has really gone downhill. Ordered duck with vegetable rice and most of the duck pieces I got are full of fat and bone. The “vegetables” were some pieces yu choy. General Tso chicken was disappointing, more breading and sauce than meat.

Good food, outstanding service. Expected the basil 3-cup chicken to be spicy, while it had chili peppers in the dish, the overall heat was maybe a 2 (on scale of 10). Seafood tofu soup excellent, as was the chicken hot & soup also good. Salted baked eggplant was surprising. The lemongrass chicken appetizer disappeared before I could take a picture.

Another screwed up delivery from Sangkee. I’m beginning to think that they don’t value their delivery customers? That we are an imposition. I see all the nice photos of meals at their restaurant from those who have dined in. My delivered meal was missing the brown rice & had nothing but duck & it’s drippings. They also sent the wrong soup! No napkins or condiments! & nothing to eat with. It wasn’t my first bad order from the restaurant. However, it’ll be my last. They have nerve to charge extra for delivery. I paid very close to 50.00 for a incomplete, screwed up meal. Sangkee isn’t cheap. I’m grateful that my delivery provider issued a replacement credit.

Great spot for high quality chinese food. The atmosohere is really relaxed and cozy, and our food was worth a friday night out. Really enjoyed the fried wontons that had a great seafopd taste, and my kung pao beef came out really juicy and well developed taste. Don’t be put off by the fact that it is in a alley near H Mart

Food not as good as it once was. Hawaiian pineapple fried rice: tasteless… minimal seafood (1 shrimp/scallop and small pieces of tasteless fish) Crispy lemongrass chicken wings were very over fried to the point of being hard and agsin..again… tasteless. Not worth the $31 for the takeout. Lucky for them I don’t live close to the establishment. If I did it would’ve been returned.

Sang kee serves the best duck in the whole USA in my opinion. I have eaten duck in many places in my 10 years of work travel and nothing compares to Sang kee duck. Other places either is too greasy, not enough flavor, or lack of texture when compared to Sang Kee. Everytime i am in philly, Sang kee duck and cheesesteaks are the top items i must eat when i am here. I grew up in philly for over 15 years so i come back here once and awhile to see family. This is their 2nd location, the original is in chinatown. This place is clean, more modern, and serves duck just as good as the original location.
