Bad dining experience tonight. The food was cooked with really old oil. The salad and noodles had a really sweet (too sweet) sauce over it that ruined the taste of the food. The sauce was was over everything and should not have been. The tempura was not properly cooked or prepared.

The inside is very hot, and the menu is a bit overwhelming if you don’t know what you want; that being said, the food is delicious and there are large portions. I ordered the chicken breast bowl with Simi salad, and I ate steadily for almost 15 minutes and didn’t eat all of it. I definitely recommend, especially if you eat outside.

We came here for the total eclipse and after having just eaten at a Mexican restaurant we were stuffed, so sushi wasn’t ordered. I did order a lobster Rangoon side dish and 2 waters which cost almost 10 bucks…pretty ludicrous if you ask me! It touts itself as Japanese cuisine but Rangoon is not at all Japanese. It tasted decent, not the best I’ve had but not the worst–though I’ve never had lobster, only crab. The guy at the counter taking our order was really nice and helpful.

For a “fast food” place it is great quality at affordable price in pleasant atmosphere. Super fresh interesting salads, excellent salmon and chicken and superb tempura. Top quality Japanese food in the midwest…. I go there a lot. …. Hey GOOGLE GEEKS those little teeny weeny icons are so small below this box or so small I can’t decipher what they mean or are far. Why is this rated low on yelp? Its quite good. Not epic, but better than many I’ve been to and I’d go again. I like the little sake bottles too. Grab one to go. Arnold jsushi is better. But they have no bowls so sansai has more choices and a bigger place. This is better than that modern Mexician place next door.
