Picked up the chicken and shrimp combo several times to go. Food is delicious and ample servings EVERY time. Food is hot and Fresh. Very surprising to get this good of food in the mall and at this price. This is one of our to go spots

Attempted to ignore the pretty OK taste of the food. not the best Japanese ever, but that’s OK, it’s fine for for mall food. what happened was when the cook decided to blame me for him making a mistake and giving away our order to somebody else (not checking the order numbers apperently) and then not remaking ours basically accusing us of trying to scam them have a plate for food. All he did was shake his head and be rude and tell me to report it. So here I am the cook with a poofy hair, and red bandana. If owners see this PLEASE consider another employee asap. The older man and what I assume is the manager is fine.

*edit* 5-4-2021 6:00pm Tried this place again and surprise surprise they are closed early with no signs or warnings. 3 hours this time. Honestly wonder if the owner knows how poorly the employees operate that place. At this point I wish it was possible to give a 0 star rating.

It’s a Gamble when it comes to eating at this North Star Mall restaurant. I have eatn there on many occasions with a hit or miss but yesterday my wife & I went to have lunch there and that’s when I decided I was done taking my chances with this place. We both ordered the #1 teriyaki chicken double meat. None the less they gave me ONE double meet. Chicken was still raw. Other plate had hardly any chicken. Soon as I saw it I pointed it out to the cook and he said I can get a refund. The girl who was the cashier agreed that it looked undercooked but can get a refund. SMH!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! IF you wanna settle for Japanese just drive to INGRAM MALL location to the SARKU Japanese. Same exact thing but with class & customer service that would be your money’s worth.

The beef teriyaki was delicious and tender. The noodles could use some flavor improvements. I did not try the fried rice but maybe another time. The staff was very courteous.

There is absolutely NOTHING good about this place. The food is bland beyond fixing. The portions on meat are skimpy. Gristly chicken! You get mostly rice. They charge for their refills. The rice was cooked half-decently but the issue with being bland and skimpy made this an all around $hitty place to eat. 3 soy sauce packets and three hot sauce packets later and the food still tasted devoid of flavor. (No I don’t have covid). I’ll NEVER eat here again. Sarku in Ingram flavor is good but they cook EVERYTHING down to MUSH! Sanjei was REALLY hard to force down my throat. ♂️

So unfortunately the person that attended us was very rude, he even had nuggets on his ears. We stood there for 15 min until we had the courage to yell for someone, how are you going have a business at North Star mall and not care if the customers are being attended especially on a Friday in the summer….

Used to be one of my top choices to eat at in North Star. The last time I ate there a couple of weeks ago I got really ill, and I hadn’t eaten anything else that day so I know it was this food that made me sick. Also how I know it was this,was the guy did not cook it fresh like I usually see them do he just got some teriyaki chicken that was already prepared and tossed it on the grill part to warm it up. I should have never accepted it, my body paid for it later two stars given only because of good portion

I have tried to eat here a couple of times the last couple of weeks and they are always out of stuff. Their hours are posted as opening at 10:00 and at 11:30 on 12/28 they were still not open and turning customers away.
