Tooling around Greenwood looking for somewhere to grab lunch and spotted Sante Fe. Excellent service, good prices and great food. First time trying the chicken soup. I will definitely have it again. The serving size was enough for us both to have lunch the next day. Would definitely recommend!

I had a Lunch #6: One beef burrito & one enchilada. My husband had the Nachos al Carbon. We both enjoyed our meals. The mild salsa had no substance to it. It was like just pouring the juice off of a can of tomatoes. When it comes to the desserts, that is where they greatly disappointed me. I had the “Fried Ice Cream.” It was disgusting and made me sick. I’ve had Fried Ice Cream before at other Mexican restaurants and they wrapped the ice cream up like a chimichanga and fried it quickly. Nothing on this was fried except the salad-like bowl that it was served in. The bowl was a flour tortilla shell fried in the nastiest, old grease. It had not been warmed and the grease had solidified. Basically, it was not fresh. The ice cream tasted freezer burnt and was covered with cornflakes. Cornflakes? How does that even sound good? The cornflakes were covered with whipped cream, topped with 2 cherries, and drizzled with fudge syrup. I forgot to mention the nasty fried bowl was drizzled with honey.

The food is really good but if you get served by the Latina women (not the American one), they are really rude to you if you are a female. They push you aside, ignore you, or just act like you are slim beneath their shoe. Everyone else is very nice, all smiles and asks if you need anything else or if everything is to your liking. The only thing other than the women’s attitudes I would suggest changing is giving both hot and mild salsa with the chips. Not everyone likes the same kind of salsa. And try not to burn the chips. They are often over cooked or stale.

My first visit here & I was pleasantly overwhelmed. The food servings were HUGE. My chicken quesadilla was piled high with fresh chicken breast & very flavorful. The lunch special plates were piled high with food as well. Fresh hot tortilla strips to start the meal & great service as well. We will definitely be coming back! This is my sons FAVORITE place to go now! Tacos el carbon are his thing, I’m still with my chicken fajita quesadilla fixation!

The food here is really good. I would order from here more however the women that work here are very rude, short, and unprofessional. I actually had one of them shove me out of the way of the counter when I was picking up my food! Another lady refused to hand my the bags and just pointed to them when I eventually had to ask which ones were mine and where the chips were! I think I will stick to Rosie’s at El Tejano in Simpsonville. She knows how to treat her customers. The girls at Santa Fe could learn quite a lot from Rosie!

Food cold had to get up and find server to heat my food got black beans at the end of my meal that was supposed to come with the meal gave me a Togo box told me take the beans home daughter didn’t get tortillas until she finished her food bill was $85 the cashier would only talk in Spanish not knowing I am Hispanic and when I called him out about the trash talk he was so shocked I understood and spoke Spanish If you are in the mood for Mexican DON’T GO TO SANTA FE MEXICAN GRILL

The cheese dip was very good. We always get cheese dip when we go eat at a Mexican restaurant. I don’t know what they do differently here but it was so good. The meal was very delicious Loco rice.

I give them 4.5 Stars. The chips have been fresh and still warm. This was not my first visit. I have been here a few times for lunch. This time, I had the lunch portion fajitas with beef and chicken. The meat was sizzling when it arrived and tasted good. The service was fast and friendly.
