My burrito tour has found it’s Best Burrito Winner, so far. Santa Fe Mexican Restaurant. Great taste! I was able to use my hands. Although super large and sloppy burritos are my favorite, this east Charlotte spot has taken the honors.

Some of the best burritos in town. I always get the chicken or steak. They’re not very expensive and they’re always made fresh. Only con would be sometimes they come with chips and jalapeño, sometimes they don’t and you’ll have to ask.

At first thought it was neat, after seeing a cockaroach run behind our back on the both seat, we moved to a table. The booths look little bit worn at bottom and sides where the cockaroach disappeared. Food looked like a good presentation but did not taste that great and was not piping hot just lukewarm, would be nice to have a free chips and salsa offered as well like most Mexican restaurants, price was reasonable.

Outstanding real deal Mexican food. Fresh. Amazing. All was well prepared and quite tasty. Quite possibly the best guacamole I have ever had. Cheese dip with Chorizo was another stellar starter. Gorditas were tremendous. Went chicarrones on one. Different. Good. But skin was wet/sauced. Was expecting dry but that’s on me. This is not typical Tex Mex. The burrito my buddy got was good but not the best. If you like real Mexican you wont be disappointed. Other reviews mentioned bad service. Our service was stellar.

Went with a group. Everyone loved their dishes. What I ordered was good too, however they didn’t include the ribs which was part of the order, when I brought it up they said “it doesn’t come with ribs anymore” (which I wish they would have told me) . Also I ordered the fried cheese and it came out in thick cuts so the cheese wasn’t melted, so don’t order that. I would be mad about the whole thing, but it was really good what I did get. The churros we’re very good!

Had lunch, I ordered 3 soft shell tacos. It was good but I tasted something strange in the sriracha hot sauce. which was bought to me by the first waitress, who had on a columbia or northface fleece sweater and a few nose rings. The sauce had a tangy, bitter aftertaste and was not even hot. I ask for another from a different waitress, this time no funny aftertaste. when I got home, my eyesight got very blurry and can’t stop coughing this dry cough. At first I thought it was the tamarind juice, a drink I’ve drank all my life and eaten the very tangy fruit (I was born in the caribbean) but I know what it taste like and Drink the juice first then ate.
