Can be really good, but inconsistent. A recent bug issue & the way the restaurant handled it was unfortunate.

It’s a family business. They are so cordial that you may feel it’s your home. Foods are fresh and tasty . Specially the owner , he is so humble.

Ordered via caviar as I had in the past. Tonight something must have been off. Everything was completely too sweet, like the chef had just dumped sugar into every single one of the sauces. Where was the delicious depth of flavor I had come to enjoy?

New favorite Indian spot in the neighborhood! So so delicious and huge portions. And we got a dessert on the house too ☺️☺️

My family and I have been coming here for years. We live in downtown Brooklyn so it’s a bit of a drive to get to Sapid and the parking is sometimes very difficult, but we feel that it is well worth the extra effort. The service is always excellent and the food is some of the best Indian food in NYC. Said, the owner, has gotten to know us and is always warm and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. We are never disappointed.

They have a great Indian buffet Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with all the options and they keep bringing out fresh trays of hot food. Plus, the spiced hot tea with milk that’s part of the buffet is delicious. The owner and the servers are all very friendly, too. Definitely recommended for low-key Indian soul food.

Very good tandoori chicken, saag panir, samosa, curried salmon and they serve canned soda which is a plus to me lol. Fri-Sun they offer a dinner buffet instead of the usual lunch buffet, for $13.95! All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They also have a very clean and modern bathroom. There is only one, so I’m assuming it’s for all 77 genders, or whatever number we’re up to this week! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had a birthday party for my daughter here. Everything was on point. The staff was very professional, the atmosphere was great and my family and friends really enjoyed the food. Every dish was a winner. Thanks so much Syed and Monair. We will definitely be back!
