Okay so it would be tough in my opinion for thus establishment to get a 5star review from me..No offense but its still a strip mall hibachi. With all that said this place is great. Laid back atmosphere with a great wait staff. But the food..I highly recommend the jalapeño tuna appetizer. And the Hansa roll is out of this world. Now i did have a lack luster chicken lo mein but still a great meal.

Shrimp Yakisoba and Hana Sushi roll was excellent! Ginger salad was good even though it had a citrus twist to it. Green tea was perfect as well! Overall an excellent meal and not too pricey for the money

It’s a mom and pop with a commercial feel and not much of an oriental atmosphere, but the food is as oriental (Japanese and Korean) as it gets. And the service is something you don’t get in most chain establishments. Love this place.

Very consistent in their offerings. Great service and place to meet up with friends. Bulgogi & Bibimbap are fine (not incredible, but good). Out of the non-traditional sushi rolls – the Yuki & Nizzi rolls are my go to.

I ordered my items on Grubhub. I waited the time frame on my text, email receipt. I get to Sapporo and Grubhub did not send them the order. It was $75 worth of food. I show the associate my email and they start the order. I ask if it will take another 30 minutes and he says no only about 15. Okay. I sit outside in the car. I go back inside, not ready yet. I wait another 5 minutes And it’s ready. I go straight to the meeting place to eat it (10 minute drive) and items were no longer hot. Food was tasty but the wait and inconvenience set a bad taste in my mouth. I do want to try eating inside for my next venture here.

Great experience at Sapporo Rivergate. We live closer to Japan House, so usually go there. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food and service both were. This will be our new spot. Portions were sizable and price was right.

I was looking for ramen place near Hendersonville area and this restaurant came up in the search. Overall it’s a pleasant experience. Friendly staff and owner. Food was quick and hot but not meeting my expectation for authentic Japanese food and ramen soup in general. We ordered seafood spicy ramen and chicken cutlet with curry. The chicken cutlet wasn’t traditional Japanese cutlet. They’re chicken tenders breaded in panko bread crumbs. The curry tasted good but a bit runny. Seafood spicy ramen soup was spicy. It came with mussels, shrimps, squids and veggies. No ramen egg or other usual ramen toppings. A lot of broth with no toppings and small amount of seafood in such a big bowl. We’ll come back to try a different dish. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese food and a bowl of good authentic ramen, this is not the right place for it.
