1st time visit on a Fri nite. They were slammed, hence the 4 star due to slow service. Cozy place on the inside. Cute outdoor seating for cooler days. Live music that day was the fabulous Alisa Mike. Great place for meet up, couples nite out or a date nite. There will be a wait if busy. I noticed a lot of take out traffic. I ordered a side of Garlic knots to start. They were delicious but took a long time. We ordered 2 entrees, the Shrimp Scampi and Eggplant Parm which come with only bread. Both meals were top notch! Better than Carabas. Again a long wait but worth it. Most everyone around us had pizza so it must be good. We had cheesecake and coffee for dessert while we were seranaded by Alisha. She was the cherry on top of a delish meal. The art and wreaths that adorn the walls are for sale. Plan to come again. It was worth the scenic drive from Jacksonville.

After doing research of places to eat in or around New Bern, I decided on going to Sara’s for pizza. We ordered traditional bone in garlic parmersean wings for an appetizer. They were very good, fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was so awesome! It was her first day by herself and you would have thought she worked there for years! She had a ton of personality and was very helpful with ordering and local recommendations. The menu had a ton of options, and the pizza was amazing! It was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor! As far as pizza goes, it is some of the best pizza I have ever had. They had live music outside and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The inside dining area is kind of small, so if you go with a large group there may be a wait. I highly recommend, we will be going back!

We just moved into Fairfield Harbour, and this was our first visit. We stayed basic and just got the baked spaghetti, one with meatballs. Other reviews were correct in that the cheese is still bubbling at the table, so take your time and let it cool down. The entire plate was cooked perfectly. The noodles were not overcooked by the baking, the meatballs were tender and well seasoned, not over the top, just right. The sauce tasted like it was slow cooked for hours and had a well rounded flavor.

This is a hidden paradise. We had the garlic knots and 6 were just right. The 3 cheese Ziti and oven baked spaghetti came out still bubbling from the oven and were delicious. Lots of take out orders, but that never slowed the kitchen down. Plenty of staff the service was great. Several people around us said it’s their favorite place. We will most definitely be back.

I wanted to love this place but it was more than a let down. Appetizer and side salad came out first, cheese fries were good but very small portion. Side salad had very brown lettuce and was room temperature. Entrees, pizza was ok but covered in grease. Tuscan chicken pasta tasted like watered down marinara with a few pieces of boiled chicken. It was actually pretty bad. Very expensive for low quality food.

My family (5 people) and I visited Sara’s tonight. We had the lasagna, garlic knots, supreme pizza slices, sub BLT melt, chicken tenders, and veggie pasta. All were delicious. My family makes a great lasagna so we are harsh critics, lol. This lasagna was cheesy, lots of sauce, well seasoned, just perfect. My mom loved all the flavors in the veggie pasta dish and her husband threw down on the huge individual slices of supreme pizza! They said the Melt beat one of their fav places back home, too; impressive. The restauant staff were so busy, but worked together like a well-oiled machine. We could watch everything from our table. Even though it took awhile to get our food, it arrived piping hot with fresh ingredients (e.g garlic, mushrooms, sweet potato fries, etc). We understood that all the staff were doing their best. Our waitress was Amalya (sp?). She was friendly, attentive, and forgot nothing. Their prices are fair, also! This is a top notch, female-owned business. We loved it and will be back next time we vacation here.
