I use to love here I just got home after ordering the chicken with rice and asked for extra veggies like broccoli. Opened it and there is no chicken at all and the veggies are 90% cabbage. For awhile now they have been skipping on the chicken and the veggies but their chicken is tasty enough to return. I’m not sure if I will going forward I tried to call no answer not able to drive back.

Sarku has been around for 20+ years and I’m sure they’ll be here for another 20 or more. Most people get the #1 (chicken teriyaki) on white rice, brown rice or noodles and finally with or without veggies. Also for $1.50 u can add double meat. This is by far the best deal if you’re sharing. It’s cooked right in front of you. So it may take a few minutes… but it’s definitely worth the wait as there’s really nothing else around like Sarku. You’ll be back more than once.

Place used to be good, but today I was shorted on meat. And the forks are a joke. I get it, but I really don’t serve noodles if you are not gonna supply a proper utensils.

I’m not a huge fan of all of their food. Once in a while their chicken is pretty decent but, I’ve also had some not great food experiences here with their chicken. The staff seems pretty quick to close up and get out. Sometimes I only have near the end of the night to get food and it’s like I’m more of a bother of I try and order something.

I’ve eaten at Sarku Japan for years. Their teriyaki chicken is great. I do have one complaint though. Before the double-meat option came along, they gave a good sized portion. Then they started offering double-meat for only a few dollars more. Gradually, the double-meat portion came to look suspiciously like the former single portion. Also, they switched from white serving trays to black, and again the new trays look smaller. Something shady has definitely occurred there. Food-Delicious. Integrity-Questionable.

The food here is delicious! The cabbage tastes healthy and the flavor of the chicken and rice is perfect and not too greasy. But most importantly, the staff and managers care about their customers and make sure you are happy with your meal. Thank You Kim and Dong Qing!

Normally I wouldn’t write a bad review for any particular place, I’d simply not go there again. As someone who has worked in several kitchens and attended a level of culinary education I feel like I have to caution other about this place. After order my plate I was able to get down three mouth fills of the flavorless vegetables and gummy old noodles before throwing my 12$ plate of food in the garbage. Leaving the Mall I barely made it to a Dunkin Donuts where I emptied the contents of my stomach into the toilet bowl. Do Not Eat Here! The place used to be a decent noodle stand but apperently it had diminished.
